The pot stirring message:

* Re-post ... Day 1 *

I liked this thread, and a particular exchange within it. In fact, I like it so much that I plan to re-post it once daily throughout the Democratic Primaries, for wider exposure.

OP by peecoolyour

America won't vote for a Socialist Jew

NYC_SKP

10. Kick and Rec!

And I'll add a little something here.

We need to seriously look at why we support whom we support: is it because of their policies and record, or because of their race, religion, or sex?

I dare say that one of the candidates is enjoying big numbers because of the desire of supporters to see the first female president elected.

This is not to say that they'd support a GOP female president.

But I would submit that for a Democrat they'll give a pass on all kinds of different baggage.

azmom

17. My daughter attends an all women's college

She and her friends are big fans of Warren. No surprise to me as they are a bunch of liberal feminists. What was a real surprise is that they have all turned their support to Bernie.

They love his economic message.

NYC_SKP

39. I suspect it's older women who are really pulling for Hillary Clinton.

And I think this is reasonable: they've experienced far more oppression in the workplace, etc., than their younger counterparts who see women mayors, governors, senators, etc., and think nothing of it.

silverweb

60. Not this older woman.

I've also lived through what was demoralizing then and illegal now (at least in California) in terms of sexual harassment and even assault in the workplace, including as a single parent (before it was more or less "acceptable" by today's standards, which it still isn't to some) - and this older woman is for Bernie all the way.

Gender issues are very important but are far from being the only issues, especially today. Bernie's strongly on the same page there, anyway. A feminist does not have to be female.

NYC_SKP

63. Agree on all points and, you know, that shit still goes on in the workplace.

I left a good position because of the sexual harrassment I had to witness my director perpetrating.

I made a move to talk to HR, just asked for a sit down without details but mentioned whom I wanted to discuss and a week later I was informed that my contract would not be renewed and I was to report to a different department.

Paka

101. Another older woman checking in.

I support Bernie all the way. He's on the right side with all the social issues and understands how intrinsically they are linked to economic issues. They can't be isolated and treated separately. I am so happy to have him as our standard bearer.

JDPriestly

65. I'm an older woman. Talk about oppression in the workplace, etc.

And it is still here today.

I really, really, really want to see a woman in the White House. Really, really.

But Bernie is just the best candidate so far. I wish I could say otherwise, but I can't.

Bernie is the best candidate. And that's all there is to it.

He walks the walk and has been walking the walk for a long time.

The more people see Bernie, hear him and learn about him, the more voters he will attract.

He could very well win. We shall see.

You never know for sure what the future will bring. But Bernie is the best candidate.

demigoddess

104. totally agree, I want to see a woman in the Oval Office

but now Bernie has really impressed me. Will vote for him, then Hillary, then any democrat. that's depending who is on the ballot.

DesertFlower

110. i'm a 73 year old woman and bernie

is my choice. if hillary is the nominee she will get my vote.

maddiemom

121. 70 here, and I completely agree.

Be careful Egnever - overt support of the disappeared can even get 15K posters PPR'd

6. It's always so nice first thing in the morning

to see post that contains a sexist response from a banned member who called Hillary a c*nt.

this part here:

What a loathsome, bigoted, sexist and racist thing to say. But obviously many posters here, including yourself agree with that.

Clue for you and any others who think this is a fine and wonderful thing to say. Women don't vote with their vagina's. Just as black people don't vote with their skin. To say so implies racist and sexist stereotypes that these persons can't possibly be smart enough but to vote except for those reasons alone.

Secondly, it is not a problem to identify with someone with whom you share something. That doesn't mean a vote is cast on that basis alone. To say so, demeans others in an attempt to minimize them and their voice.

Most definitely not all normal women or African Americans but a large portion DUmmies vote solely on either gender or race...

22. While you continually re-post this..

banned member who called Hillary a c*nt.

for someone that claims to hate that word and is super duper pissed that it was used you sure do re-post that a lot I would think a link to his profile page would be enough--it's not as if every person on DU (and other places too) don't know what he was banned for.

Before you get all indignant I'm certainly not telling you what you can and cannot post. Just making an observation.

One_voice - you are living dangerously and risk attracting the attention and ire of the femnazis

23. My post led you to believe that I find nothing wrong with the word?

There is a clear difference in spelling out a word, when criticizing it's usage. That is not misogynistic.

What is misogynistic is calling a woman one.

Also, I starred it out, as to hopefully fend off alerts that get sent all the time with the same misunderstanding you seem to have. That are trying to get a posters posts hidden for criticizing the MISOGYNISTIC usage.

7. What is your point here?

To keep stirring the pot? To keep alive the memory of your dear departed comrade? You know, the one who called Hillary a c*nt? Is this really the hill you want to die on?

Go Sheldon Go!

Does anyone at the DUmp think an America-hating black muslim community organizer was elected because of his policies or record?

I certainly hope Boston Bean is a lesbian. I hate to think of any man making the mistaking of trying to live with this shrill, unpleasant, unforgiving thing.

Where, you reflexive retard?  It's a true statement.

..and you wonder why we laugh at you?

Precisely.

Unfortunately, no.

Married, with children.

And to top it off, of the Four Horsewomen of the Femapocalypse--BainsBane, the redqueen primitive, the seabeyond bitch, and the Bostonian beanie--she's the most-aesthetic-looking of the whole bunch; not bad-looking at all.

I forgot.  She's kind of chunky.

But still, despite that, she's got BainsBane, the redqueen primitive, and the seabeyond bitch beat, when it comes to looks.

That's gonna sow a lot of dissension among the top Ku Klux Klams.

There's nothing hateful women hate more than attractive women.

That's one reason they like the Hildebeast.

And the chunky little Klam is posing with a cardboard cutout Hildebeast.

I've seen people take similar pictures with cardboard Tony Stewart at Home Depot.
