I don't see this ban as part of a purge.

I think the Admins truly felt that he didn't belong here due to his post. I don't agree with that viewpoint, but I don't see it as a purge.

Of course, you're entitled to your point of view.

Seems like some here use the "we are going to be purged" meme a lot. Just like I have heard that the same bunch of posters are the only "real" democrats, liberals, progressives, or populists" on the board, the rest of the board are "third wayers", Obama bots, party loyalists, etc. They love to ply the victim card I guess.


The Hillary bots were the ones being purged last time. I don't think they will forget it... or forgive it.

that said, i am on mirt, i see the bans. admin bans are very rare. especially admin bans of long time posters.
there is no purge. let go of the pearls.

Hillary Clinton is the only viable candidate. I know people like to pretend that Bernie Sanders has a chance in hell, but those people are living in a bubble. That doesn't mean Bernie is wrong on the issues, but there is no way he can win the general election. The truth is that the presidential race is, has been, and always will be a popularity contest. The general population at large couldn't give two shits about the issues.

Skinner is the owner of DU...he's endorsed Her Thighness for 2016...his wife...works for Hillary...DU is funded in part by monies from the dreaded DLC.


So YES the official "view" of DU is that it's Hillary! for President.

And in the end should she get the nomination...it will be your view as well.

The Democrat Party's official position is that they do NOT want a contested primary. Such a primary would expose the participants to uncomfortably debate issues they desparately want to keep swept under the rug, or just as importantly, give the mainstream media a huge headache in how to APPEAR to be asking tough questions on the candidates. The media solution would be easier, in so much all they have to do is to structure questions as "how can your (the candidate's) policies effectively negate the mean, oppressive GOP's position on this issue" or something to that effect that promotes the positive while suppressing the negatives out of the debate.

But a debate WILL necessarily expose Hillary's (and in extension, the Democrat Party's) vapid positions on national defense, the economy, and virtually every other important political subject. So rather than say that DU is endorsing Hillary Clinton, the REAL issue is they want to suppress any Democrat dirty laundry. Period.
