Denver cops cleared in fatal shooting of teen in stolen car
Oh, dear... another shooting by Police cleared as justified.
"This begs the question of why Hernandez chose to not comply with those orders," Morrissey wrote. "Perhaps she feared being caught driving a stolen car. Perhaps her judgment was impaired by marijuana and alcohol. ... What is clear from the facts and needs no inference is that her decisions created a very dangerous situation, not just to herself and to the officers, but also to her friends who were in the car with her."
She drove a stolen car at Police trying to run them over.
"If there is one message I hope our community understands from this case, it is that this shooting was completely preventable," Morrissey wrote. "It would not have occurred if Hernandez had simply complied with lawful police orders."
Don't steal cars.
An autopsy report showed Hernandez had marijuana and a small amount of alcohol in her system. Investigators found open bottles of alcohol and a marijuana pipe in the car.

2. Did the DA take the passenger's stories into account?
One said the cops came from behind and fired without warning and that the car may have struck a cop after they shot the driver. Story says nothing about the other three passengers accounts.
So where were the bullet holes in the car?
Yes... I am sure the Police just randomly fire shots into parked cars in alleys.

3. If the criminal justice system is incapable of policing the police, then what?
Maybe we have to do it ourselves.
Again- Police get a report of suspicious activity in an alley. Find a stolen car. Order to people out but they try to run the officers over. 8 shots later you have a dead teen, stoned and drunk. Sure... it's the Police who is to blame.
Idiots.

Saved the taxpayer millions in entitlements. Police should have shot all 4 lawbreakers

Anything to bash cops. I swear DUmmies can't even comprehend a rather simple news story.

They were accessories, and as such, just as guilty as the perp who drove the car--and deserved to "have their lead content increased," IMO.

She yelled don't shoot with her hands up(at 10 and 2).

These DU folk and other Libs and Progs like them won't allow themselves to understand the concept of "deadly force". Guns and knives are but two examples. Trying to run some one down or crash into their car is deadly force. Whatever her reason for doing so, this female assaulted a police officer (more than one?) using deadly force. Shooting her was justified. Slamming some one's head into a hard object, such as concrete, is deadly force. Prog-St. Trayvon did that to George Zimmerman, so shooting him was valid self-defense.
And, seriously, how hard is it not to try to run down a police officer, crash into a police car, or slam some one's head into the concrete sidewalk? I've avoided doing such stupidity for over 6 decades, and won't claim to be a genius.

Denver Police Killing of LGBT Teen Jessica Hernandez Sparks Outcry as Officers’ Claims Disputed

She was latina and gay and killed by the cops, the left has no choice in the matter--they are going to have to take her side no matter how guilty she was or how big of fools they end up making of themselves.

Probably told the cops she couldn't breathe, either.

Now we'll never get to read her book, "How to be a Thugsterette" or "The Balls but no Dick Guide to Trouble."

Good idea. But be consistent:
* No guns
* enforcement people must match the population statistics of the area (meaning around 50% womyn)
* When asking witnesses about perps, no asking about sex, gender or race
Should be a huge success. I feel safer already.

Yeee--ahhhhh ... let Comrade Grumpy try that in his neighborhood for a couple years, fully notifying people nearby of the experiment. If he's still alive at the end of that time, he can tell the world how it went.

That's an excellent idea to prevent profiling.
But also no questions about age or height, common sources of discrimination.
Hair color may be okay, except for redheads, who suffer from ginger hate, or blondes, who are profiled as stupid, or white hair, which is a disguised path to ageism.
So a journo can write that police are looking for a suspect with black hair or brown hair. Otherwise it's just a suspect.

That's just because you are ageist, heightist, and colorist.
You're probably journoist too but you deserve the benefit of the doubt.

They really have earned the ire of the general public. With their spell casting, satan worshipping and pasty diseased skin it was just a matter of time for the truth to be told.

I thought that if you are an accessory in a crime that you are responsible for anything that occurs during the commission of that crime. Lots of felonies for the three passengers and maybe, get this, they are lying to protect themselves.

Not 'satan worship'.
