$15 per hour by 2020 is not all that
Granted, ANY wage increase is good, but by the time 2020 rolls around, will prices of things have remained what they are currently?
I doubt it.
What needs to happen is for our economic wizards to go back to when people could afford to live, and to set in motion the things that need to happen to "catch up"..and then tie mandatory wage increases to actual costs of living..for things we ALL have to buy..
things like:
electricity
gasoline
water
rent/mortgages (for modest homes).. not a cat condo at Trump tower
natural foods ( prepared/fast foods should cost MORE not less)
health care...not subsidized insurance that may or may not cover what's needed
medicine
affordable wifi
basic cell phone service
actual time off for REST , RELAXATION & FAMILY
add your wishes..
Just give it away for free. :whatever:

Wishes paid for by others is a basic human right.

Then it looks like you have 5 years to improve your marketability, so someone will pay you more.
DUchenozzle.

"Not all that"? Why?
Because unionized companies could be allowed to pay sub-minimum wage?
Because companies forced to pay artificially increased wage rates would have to increase their prices, more than offsetting the government-mandated increase?
Because companies forced to pay artificially increased wage rates would have to lay people off, and their UE won't cover those price increases?

What socialism will deliver for free.....a bullet to the back of the head....and send your family the bill for the bullet.

With one short twitch of a trigger finger, all the lib's worries will be over.

My thoughts exactly BD. They won't do it, though, because it should be free to lazy people.

No shit. The labor inputs on everything you buy will go up from half-again to double, including everything that isn't already obviously labor like utilities, you're just too stupid to have connected the dots on that before you started yammering.

Cell phone service, wi-fi, and organic food were not very popular back in the fifties.
One phone, one bathroom, one car, one B/W television with 3 channels, kids sharing bedrooms, freezer only for ice trays, no microwave, window A/C if any, right.
It was like the way people live in socialist Europe today. No DUmmy would tolerate it.

Been there done that.....right after one cold water spigot in the kitchen, wood heater and a outhouse in the backyard.
Don't want to but unlike the DUmmies, I could go back to that and survive.

The difference in the cost of things minimum wage DUmmies want to buy now but can't afford will be the same difference after they are making $15.00 an hour and the cost of the things DUmmies want go up because of the increased labor costs the new minimum wage has created.
In other words, the DUmmies will keep chasing the golden ring but never catch up to it, which will cause idiot pandering politicians to push for raising the minimum wage to $20.00 an hour by 2025 at which time this cycle will repeat ad nauseum.
And at no time in this cycle will minimum wage DUmmies ever consider getting a raise based on their own ambition, drive to succeed or hard work on their part.
