I could really use a bit of help
I think pretty much everyone is aware of the situation I've been going through with facing homelessness. Though it appears now that that ship may have sailed (though I'm still fighting every way I can with everything I can think of that I haven't already for it to not happen) it's more than likely going to very soon anyway.
As of now though I'm flat broke. Though I'm about a hair away from having employment with everything I've been doing about that I don't have a cent for little things like toiletries (food stamps only pays for food), gas for the car, food for Yoshi since though I've tried to stretch his dog food with hot dogs or tuna fish, etc. he only has a few days of chow left. The water company has threatened to shut off my water in two days and I've been spending all day today trying to keep that from happening with the help of one of the social services. I'm not sure how that will work out (and I never got a shut off notice to begin with which is very odd), but I may end up having to have to pay them the $48.23 that I owe that's quite late now to solve that problem.
If I can just put gas in the car to still get to any interview or job whether it's one where I'd be paid in tips or whatever for every shift or one I'd have to wait a week or two before getting a paycheck or help with whatever disasters might strike in the short term until I can get back to earning my own way again. Omaha Steve was so lovely to send me enough money by Western Union so I could buy at least most of my meds for the next month (they raised the damn price again this month!) and a little extra for gas for the car.
I'd wanted to go to an audition at a club that told me they don't care how old I am, but I ended up getting food poisoning or some kind of horrible stomach virus and spent the entire night before in the bathroom turning myself inside out. UGH. Whatever that was all about it was a million times worse than what other poisoning or virus I've ever had before. Yesterday I had planned to go again, but got an automated call from the welfare office saying they were going to cut off my benefits if I didn't do some kind of phone interview no one ever told me about in the first place and no one ever called me to do. My useless case worker told me that I had to go to the welfare office in person that day to straighten out whatever the problem was. So, I spent hours sitting in the waiting just waiting for my turn with the one single person that was working there and found out that some idiot just screwed up and everything with my benefits is just fine. Great.
Then last night I got another automated call from the water company threatening to shut off my water in two days because I didn't respond to a shut off notice I never got to begin with. I've been doing battle all day with them, and though I know now that it won't be shut off in two days I am on the list for shut off that won't happen for at least another week. So, I'm probably going to need help from somewhere to pay that $48.23 I owe them. So far so good with both the electric and phone company, but I don't know about my internet service. They take the payment every month out of my account automatically, but now I have nothing but about $23 in there at all. I've never even really figured out WHEN they take the money out since after looking at all the dates of when they have each month going back nearly a year it's all over the map. Just last month they took the money out of my account in the beginning of the month when I had thought that they always did it toward the end of each month (anywhere between the 20th and the 28th). Last month though they did it on the 5th of the month and I'd already thought then that it had been paid already. I REALLY need to internet to research a lot of stuff, stay in touch with people I don't have any other way to contact and especially to find and apply for jobs.
I could really use some help with anyone that just happens to know certain kinds of information or can help me research information that I've not been able to find on my own. One really big thing and what my case worker promised she'd do a month ago but never did nor told me that she didn't so I could do it myself is find out what PA law or the Federal law concerning emotional support animals could do about not being put into a situation where I'd either have to lose Yoshi and/or we were put into an environment that was at least unhealthy for HIM (nobody seems to care about that when it comes to humans). From what I've been told I can't be forced to be homeless since that's a situation that would be impossible for him and that I wouldn't have him go through anyway, but seeing as it world also force me to give him up as I understand it that can't happen if he's made medically necessary legally.
I've already found out the process of making him legally a medically necessary emotional/mental support animal and there isn't much to it. My psychiatrist has known for ages that all of my dogs ARE medically necessary to me and that the first one I ever got was BECAUSE of emotional/mental issues that made me feel personally unsafe past the point of even paranoia particularly in the home. All I would need from his a letter that says my dog is emotionally/mentally necessary and then I just register him online.
I just don't know and need to find out if his being a legal medically necessary support animal if that would keep us/me from being homeless as in living on the street (I've never thought of couch surfing with friends or family as being homeless - to me it means living on the street or emergency shelter). I would think that it would since I wouldn't be able to be forced into a position where I had to have him away from me or for HIM to be in an unhealthy environment where he had no shelter or water or decent food regularly and maybe even medical treatment). I just haven't been able to find anything in the Federal law specially about that and haven't been able to find PA's law at all though I know PA has one as do most all states. I don't even know where I could go outside the internet to find this out. I don't know for instance what sort of legal practice would deal with something like this.
Another thing... does anyone know about or have any experience with pawn shops? I haven't been able to find any way to sell some of my stuff and not quickly enough. I'd always thought of them as skevy places that ripped you off, but I just don't know. I don't even know of any outside the city or if each one handles certain types of merchandise or what.
I'm still fighting like hell to keep from being thrown out on the street and losing every damn thing I own, but it just isn't looking like that's not going to happen no matter what I do. My case worker who I had thought when I met her was so great has ended up totally dropping the ball on me not doing one single thing she told me not to worry about myself and that she would take care of. One of those things was finding out how to make Yoshi a legal medically necessary emotional/mental support animal and another was to get me on the waiting list for the shelter just in case. She never did a damn thing about either one and never TOLD me she hadn't so I could do them myself in TIME. She hasn't bothered to show up at three of the four meetings were were supposed to have this month, scheduled them in the middle of the day so I couldn't even do other things on those days, had them at her office when I told her over and over that I couldn't afford to spend the gas to get there and back, and worse at least two of those meetings she knew that she wouldn't be able to keep the day before but never bothered to call me to cancel them or even tell anyone in her office that she wouldn't be there and when I arrived I could just leave again. All those times I sat in the waiting room for hours with neither I or the office able to find out where the hell she was. The only meeting she was actually there for I had to wait over an hour again for her, and there wasn't a single thing we talked about or did that couldn't have far easier been done on the phone.
Would anyone here be interested in buying anything from me? I have some items like a brand new tv and blue ray player I had gotten as gifts about a year ago that I never had a need or desire for still in their boxes. Stereo parts (receiver, radio, double tape deck and speakers) that I never bothered to figure out how to hook up (I have a cd player as well but I think it either doesn't work or work right, but that could be me), and some other stuff I can't think of off the top of my head except for a few pieces of good jewelry I've never cared about or worn). I could take photos and provide model numbers or whatever (if I can find them on the internet). I just don't have a cent to ship anything to anyone though.
If there is anyone that would like to help even just a little for stuff like toiletries and gas and food for Yoshi I would be so grateful. I hate myself for being in a position to be begging again for help, but I just can't think of anything else I can possibly do.

13. unfortunately not
I don't even know where that person is anymore. It was someone I sort of dated very briefly... actually it was more like he wanted me but I didn't want him. He was married besides, so it was a very icky situation I wanted nothing to do with. These gifts were essentially bribes that he wanted "payback" for.
I'd take all kinds of stuff to a pawn shop if I had gas to get to one. Do you have any experience with them at all? I thought people put their stuff in hock that they wanted back or something. I just don't know anything at all about them.
In reality language, even her back room blow jobs can`t get her enough green stinky.

And I bet it would be hilarious to hear how the Big Guy (who is dying) vetted this Torch deadbeat.

Not to mention, Steve-O made sure to mention that he and Marta were heading to another night on the town in Omaha, rubbing the poor starving Twitchy's nose in his steaming pile of stinking condescension.

The Rosebud Lounge in St Joseph, MO used to have a stripper with cerebral palsy. She fell off the stage once, and had to be taken by ambulance to the ER. It was a real challenge immobilizing her on the backboard.
I wish I didn't know this shit.

The OS train pulled out of the station for mini tacos.
He's a guy who hasn't missed any meals.
But what if he actually decided to sacrifice 1 meal and send the money he would have spent to the "vetted" person.
Please forgive me for thinking that when he started the thought, that was where he would end up.
But I fell for it again.
Even against our better judgement hope springs eternal for us conservatives.

Gofundme takes 5%. Wepay gets 2.9% plus .30 per donation.
Almost $100 when you round up.
Several people would not donate when TTW only had paypal which also has fees. And transfers are not done instantly. It takes a few days to get to her. When your broke, waiting can seem like forever.

It's not a hair that's keeping you from having employment, Torchy. It's dirt, sweat, bad breath, unwashed ass, cigarettes, tuna fish, and your little dog, too.

I have news for you, Torchy. Blowing the night manager at the truck stop will not result in employment, no matter what he tells you, though it will keep him from calling the cops when you're working the lot.

The Big Guy (who is dying) went ballistic on another DUmmy who cast a little doubt on how he vetted this crack ho ex-stripper's scam:
You seem to know so much about TTW. So do several other Cavers that hide in the dark afraid of their own shadow.
Anyway I'm retired Omaha Police Dept. civilian. I did criminal histories and backgrounds for a living.
(I guess that's sort of true. The puke he scrubbed from cruisers and the drunk tank probably indicated something about the history and background of the suspects.)
Then he got another skeptical DUmmy pissed off:

It was less than a year, wasn't it, after the big guy was transferred out of the sewage department?
The big guy's a retired city of Omaha employee, and shouldn't be alleging he spent most of that time with one agency. Maybe just avoid hurtful comments toward anyone. Grown-ups can donate or not if they choose. There's no need for some of the nastiness we've seen in this situation from time to time.
This scam is going no where fast. It's just poorly run.
Depending on the the Bellevue Big Guy (who is dying) as the prime sponsor at the DUmp was a huge mistake.

That is correct, coach. Steve Dawes is a liar.
He was an albatross around the necks of the taxpayers of Omaha his entire career, and the OPD was stuck with him for the last 9 months of it. The city had a party the day after he retired.
The only things he could do for the Police Dept was sit behind the glass and point to the elevators, and clean out the drunk tank and the back seats of police cars.
And Steve definitely didn't have the knowledge, experience, or clearance to perform NCIC and NCIS checks, or to do "background investigations".
Perhaps one of the lurking DUmmies, or even Buzz, will call him out on his lies.

I have no experience whatsoever in that kind of work, and I've never seen anyone in there that works there that's older than their 20's. I think all the workers there are really nice and really helpful, but for whatever reason they aren't interested in hiring me for anything. I would love love love to work at the bar/restaurant across the street and applied there 2 years ago, but same problem with my age.

The mini-tacos weren't actually on the menu. Steve bought a box of them at Sam's Club or Costco and brought them in to his poorly-attended fundraiser.

A couple points.
One, how do people get this close to "homelessness" but have to time to post on an internet message board?
I would be going to every business in the area and applying for 12 hrs a day if facing that type of situation.
Two, why is she paying for luxuries like the internet if she's so close to "homelessness?"

DUmbass priorities are always the fun and cool things first and taking care of needs last.

254. I've wasted far too much time on social assistance that doesn't exist
The shelter itself is terrible. They lock the doors every night at 8pm, so you can't have an evening or night job. They serve one meal a day that is open to the homeless and is whatever it is that's been donated. Too bad for me with my food allergies and food restrictions because of my medication. For other meals you're on your own. There is no kitchen or laundry facilities. You can only have a shower twice a week using a community bar of soap provided no one has stolen it. There is no way to secure any of your possessions, nor to even secure your own person when you sleep. There are no guards. Theft and other violence is rampant, and you are stuck in there with alcoholics, drug addicts, mental incompetants, and all other "dregs". It houses both sexes
Sounds like a co-ed DUmp commune. Definitely her kind of people.

Then after you skim off the top total the donations, you can allow people who want to bilk DUmmies out of their dope money in need to supplicate make their case, and a death panel group of DUmmies can decide who gets how much, and when.
Skinner: wouldn't that allow you to skim even more from the morons you rule to more effectively help those who didn't save shit-smeared sawbucks in need?
**** you, Clintonian scum You're welcome.

Now wait just a daggon minute here! I have been assured multiple times by multiple liberal acquaintances that food stamps are never abused and are only used with the utmost care by the poor and downtrodden.
"food stamps only pays for food), gas for the car, food for Yoshi " The dog.
Oh FFS.

ETA: Actually, the very best part was seeing Celtic Rose in a sun dress!
:picsneeded:
BTW, where is CR? :(
-
She informed everyone that she pays 75/month for FIOS, claiming her neighborhood doesn't offer anything else. She didn't seem big on the advice to use a library.
As for the DUmp, a fool and his money are soon parted.

Not my place to share photos, but I know she's been busy.

That is hilarious on 2 fronts -- all the DUmmies counting out Duke LAX. Little did they know the amount of blowback that was gathering in the near future.
Thanks -- that is one funny thread for so many reasons.
But someone SHOULD shove that quote down her throat.

I think she mentioned it on the latest thread 😀.

I have an idea that might just work. Lurkers, get this to TTW:
1. Set up a fund for Yoshi. DUmmies will donate to a dog before they'll donate to a person.
2. Strip for Yoshi.
3. Use the singles you get from Yoshi to pay your bills.
Case closed. Next case.
ETA: Might offer Yoshi a lap dance if ends really hard to meet.

Is it not interesting that there are no appeals to Philadelphia DUers to get involved personally with this individual? In one of her posts, she complains that she doesn't have any polygrip to hold her dentures in. Isn't there some dentist dude in Phili (PC Intern) who is all about being compassionate? And what about the DUer who spends all of his time in the pants of gun owners? You know, DUer onehandle. Perhaps too busy spreading the good news about Hillary?

Good question. I'm sure Ol Drill 'Em & Fill 'Em could keep Torchy in the manner she's accustomed to.
So you know who else is close to her? NJCher. She could feed Torchy puke stew every night, and twice on Sunday!

The photos on her go fund me page were pulling at my heart strings, that is a really nice new pipe she has. :-)
