Title: Maurice Ramtor strikes again in LA!
Post by: GOP Congress on May 28, 2015, 01:45:02 PM
My oh-so-obvious mole-man, Maurice Ramtor, has another notch on "his" belt.

The Daily Breeze just published another "brilliant" letter, this time advocating a "progressive" car tax.

http://www.dailybreeze.com/opinion/20150527/tributes-to-troops-always-bring-a-tear-to-the-eye-letters

(4th letter down)

Quote
Take a more progressive approach to car reg fees

California must immediately take measures to migrate car registration fees from a single-rate fee to a more progressive tier structure. In addition to mileage and vehicle type differences, we can tie in owner wealth records to the vehicle registration record.

For instance, immigrants who make less than $10,000 a year and drive less than 1,000 miles a month in an economical car would pay the lowest rate per mile driven. A rich Republican millionaire who drives over 100,000 miles a year in an SUV would not only pay a higher mileage rate for the vehicle driven, but would pay a progressively higher fee as his wealth level and his mileage increases.

This would promote a more progressive, egalitarian vehicle usage paradigm that would ultimately make it fairer for all residents than the current unsustainable capitalist model.

— Maurice Ramtor, Rancho Dominguez

This letter is on top of previous letters that advocated eliminating the border between Calif and Mex (http://www.dailybreeze.com/opinion/20130820/jesse-jackson-jr-case-shows-crime-pays-for-some-letters-to-the-editor-for-wednesday-aug-21), forcing employers leaving the state to paying an exit tax (http://www.dailybreeze.com/opinion/20121212/inflation-adjustments-letters-to-the-editor-for-thursday-dec-13-2012), requiring businesses to pay for everyone's health care (http://www.dailybreeze.com/opinion/20130612/in-railyard-controversy-regional-needs-are-bigger-letters-to-the-editor-for-thursday-june-13-2013), and allowing everyone in the state to vote regardless of illegal status (http://www.dailybreeze.com/opinion/20140731/dont-let-water-be-wasted-when-hydrants-are-flushed-letters). BantheGOP was never THIS obvious. Hell, all their staff has to do is to google Ramtor's name and make the connection here in CC  :lmao:

Rancho Dominguez is actually an unincorporated area of LA County bounded on the north by Compton, east and south by Long Beach, and west by Carson, so the demographics ain't exactly Mayberry RFD, though the mobile home park (actually the only residential area in RD) was relatively nice with security, community pool, enforced landscaping standards, etc. In any case, I'm now in Texas.
