Title: primitives contemplate upon Bernie for president

Oh my.

This is an example of why one usually ignores political threads from Skins's island, in favor of cooking and baking or mental health or lounge threads.  Watching the primitives discuss a deep subject such as politics is much like watching a bunch of little mentally-challenged kids chitter-chattering about whether blue is a "better" color than orange.

Yawn.  But here it is, nonetheless.

My thoughts on Bernie for President

For the first time in my 40 plus years of life there is a true liberal running for office.

For the first time in my life we have a chance to do something truly brave.

This is our chance; but are we brave enough to take it?

2. If we can get half of the 60% of non-voters to GET UP AND VOTE, it's as good as won.

And we'll win every time.

3. I voted for George McGovern.

I think that Bernie would be good.

4. We will do it by sheer will of force, if we so choose. Like making a free throw, you have to believe

Nobody who doesn't think they can make it makes the shot very often.

That just doesn't lead to success.

I KNOW we can do it because Sanders or Warren is so strong, and the opposition very weak and worn.

We will succeed, we will win.

^^^yawn.

5. John Kerry wasn't a Liberal?

Really?

Setting all others aside, even Kucinich, even... Nader, please explain how John Kerry wasn't a Liberal.

6. Bernie is to DU in 2016 what Kucinich was in 2004/2008.

Put that all together, and disgruntled people might add up.

19. Bernie is-

The only hope for America to get out from under the corporatist/oligarchy that crooked politicians have let America become. I intend to do everything I can to get Sen. Sanders elected to POTUS.

My how things have changed.  Liberals used to want the government to stay away from them.  Just let them get  high and watch the tube. Now they want a government to take care of them and give them free drugs while stealing from people that actually produce value.

It's not like making a free-throw.
Believing has almost nothing to do with making a free throw.

Failure of Skippy's brain surgery is ominous.

He's likely to be dead before the Big Guy.

And the world will be just a little bit better place.

Once upon a long time ago there use to be any number of "Kentucky Colonels" (http://richmondthenandnow.com/Newspaper-Articles/Southern-Colonels.html) (http://richmondthenandnow.com/Images/Articles/Colonels.jpg) We should have our own Vermont Colonel,  "Colonel Sanders", according to everything I read at the DUmp, he ain't  Chicken.   How about that fried left wing special?   :rimshot:

I will be elected POTUS before Bernie is.  If I'm wrong, we might as well either pack it in or start forming militias.

Reading the DU posts on this subject is unreal.  They really have no idea what is brewing, do they?  They are in for a big surprise I think.  I believe Americans have gotten a taste of Liberal governance and are not liking it one bit.  I think the last midterm elections were just a taste of what's to come.  Obama ignored those results, but no Liberal will be able to spin the 2016 results.  Unless I am way off, it's going to be an historic rout and bitch slap to Liberalism in America.

He was gracious or stupid enough to admit he took a shellacking in his first midterms
He refused to admit he took a shellacking in his second midterm, even though it was a worse shellacking.

Barney was recently in town at a U U Church        http://www.southchurch-uu.org/mp----about#!__mp----about

Fortunately there is no double standard by those on the left when it comes to blacks and socialists using churches for political purposes.  (of course some would say UU is more a fraternal organization than religious but then)

A UU prayer:
"Bless us, Oh Lord... or whoever.

"Or not."
