I didn't serve in Vietnam for freedom...
by Z. Woof

I didn't serve in Vietnam for freedom...

    or liberty, or the flag.

I didn't serve for the reasons people think of when they tell me, "Thanks for your service."

I knew that this war was not about any of that stuff.

I served for 365 days and a wake up, as we called it.

I served so I would not be imprisoned by my government.

I served because my father asked me to. Later, he admitted he was wrong and apologized.

    I served with these guys.

I served to save them and myself for 365 days and a wake up.

    I failed.

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/05/25/1387471/-I-didn-t-serve-in-Vietnam-for-freedomI failed.

That stupid bitch has no shame.

1. Thanks for your good work to keep safe the man next to you.

She's a c&p queen. Only ambition she ever showed was to spread her legs to a man with a bright future.

7. Day of Shame

Every year on this day, I read or hear many saying how these soldiers served to preserve my freedom. To me, it's a day of shame. Shame because our government sends these young people to far off places to die for oil or real estate. To me, it's sad to see how brainwashed the American people, who continue year after year, to believe these lies. Day of Shame.

15. Memorial Days and Veterans Days always make me feel weird.

I wrote this some years ago & posted it here back then.

Memorial Days and Veterans Days always make me feel weird.

Especially when someone says "Thank you for your service." You see, I was an infantryman in Vietnam, but I did not serve willingly. I was drafted, forced into a deadly form of involuntary servitude, and whatever illusions I might originally have had about the rightness of the war were quickly torn from me when I saw what we were doing to the innocent people, the sacred soils, the beautiful waters and jungles and mountains of that tormented land.

"No, don't thank me," I want to say. "Forgive me. Forgive me for participating in that awful event in your name. If you must thank me for something, then thank me for joining the movement to stop the war when I got home. Maybe thank me for the things I have tried to do for the castoffs of society--the mentally ill, the developmentally disabled, the emotionally damaged products of chaotic and abusive homes who have gone on to fill our jails and prisons. But don't thank me for going off to participate in the destruction of a foreign land whose residents never intended any harm to you or me."

25. I was in the BRO from 2003 - 2006

I was the platoon leader of 2nd platoon, A company, 2-2 infantry battalion, 3 rd brigade. I was on Iraq from feb 2004 to March 2005.

My war was Iraq and I was a fool to believe our military was actually for making the world a better place. For my stupidity I've been rewarded with severe PTSD (rated at 100% permanent and total by the VA) and I've spent roughly 5 of the last 12 months locked up in a psych ward. I lost 5 Soldiers under my command and I hate every day that I've made it back alive and they didn't.

If the DUmmies think that the military is a short cut to lifelong freebies, including ssdi, they'll be lined up at the enlistment office first thing tomorrow morning.

Ah, the semi-annual verbal diarrheal crapping on the military and the US of those who have no clue why they are not sushi or wurst, have never thought on why SoKos are not starving and stunted like NoKos, or worked next to and listened to young Vietnamese men and women who rode rickety boats past pirates to freedom or whose parents spent years in Vietnamese "re-education" camps.

I have.

I'm not particularly eloquent, but to all of you who have served or are serving, THANK YOU!!!

54. Proudly Anti-War since 1967...when I went to college. Whittier College, Nixon's alma mater,

hung him in effigy. Yes, we protested the war, but most held the returning soldiers in much the same way as stated above. Most didn't have a choice, at the end of the day.

RIP to those who passed on, and Blessings on those who made it back.

What if we did the same with barry and his middle east conflict. How who you react? <----(rhetorical)

And the DUmbasses once again prove why they are deserving of a long and very painful death. Also, any DUmbass who served is a disgrace to the uniform and should be treated like the dishonorable cur that they are.

Real estate confiscated by the USA during foreign wars:
MEXICAN-AMERICAN WAR: Mexican Cession (seized by the US, then paid for in the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo)- California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado
SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR: Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Phillippines

That is, at the least, a partial, crude, lie! Many service men and women who returned from Vietnam have very different, very much less pleasant, memories of how they were received. And then there's the equine anus with the title of Secretary of State who back-stabbed and slandered those who served.

Horses' hind quarters like this DU-Dude need to have the "wisdom" Holocaust Deniers have had ... wait till the people with memories of the events being lied about are mostly dead or out of public circulation!

Ok first off...It's 2nd Battalion 2nd Infantry REGIMENT you ****wad...not 2nd Infantry Battalion.  2nd Battalion 2nd Infantry Regiment was tasked to 1st ID for the deployment but was normally part of 172nd Infantry Brigade stationed at Graf, Germany.

The only time there was a 2nd Platoon A Company anything that deployed with 2-2...was the 2nd Platoon A Company 82nd Engineer Battalion.  And they were already back in Germany getting ready to case their colors along with the rest of the Battalion by March 2005.

Your war is a ****ing lie.  My guess is you spent your entire time back in Graf assigned to Rear D mowing yards and trying to hit on deployed soldiers wives.

The cause of your PTSD is being scared shitless that you knocked up one of your fellow soldiers wives and he was gonna beat your ass when he got back from Fallujah.

For your stupidity of trying to pass yourself off as a combat vet you should be taken out behind the VFW closest to your house and beaten senseless.

OK lurking (D)Umbshits, last time: Platoon/Company/Battalion/Regiment.  IN THAT ORDER.

IE - you stupid lying f*ks: 1st Plt, A Co., 3rd Bn., 131st Infantry (Regiment). In the Marines it would be 2/5 - 2nd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment.

Platoon is usually inconsequential in Infantry Units so, A Co. 3/131.

I don't want to see this shit in your bouncies, next year.

Didn't he take that hill by himself and get awarded the CMH in secret because he was an American Ninja?

but a lot of times it's shortened anyway- like Alpha Two Five, First of the Ninth, Second of the Three Two Five, etc.

it's really hard to fake a military experience. Best if you just don't try.

I lost 5 Soldiers under my command and I hate every day that I've made it back alive and they didn't.

So let's see; this oxygen thieving DUche claims that he was in 1ID as a PLATOON LEADER from 2003-2006.

First off, since he didn't mention any follow on service, I'll assume he got out at 3 years. That would be par for the course for a DUche, since most of them are so weak they would never be able to fulfill their obligations.

For officers after college, I believe there is a six year commitment. Which means our special little snowflake here got out WAY before he was supposed to. Not common, but it happens.

Second, he said he was there from 2003-2006. So a 1LT getting out at TBD height of the surge? That doesn't smell right to me. The army was looking for every able bodied man they could at that point.

Which leads me to my third point; the PTSD. Officers are some of the most thoroughly screened individuals on the planet. They have to be to be stable under immense pressure. Do a few slip through the cracks? Yes, but less than you'd think.

Officers don't do the fighting directly. That's what they have their soldiers for. If they are shooting, its the Khrorengal valley, or Custer's last stand-type situation. The latter sounding like what our young DUche PL might have caused.

He might have led his men to a disastrous situation that his platoon sergeant had to bail him out of, and he got PTSD from being rescued from his mistakes, and didn't LEARN from them like a real man does.

In summation, this DUche may have served, may have been a PL. But I SEVERELY doubt it. And if he did, i believe he was chaptered out at a time when the army NEEDED people. That says something about him and the quality of his character.

Given that dude's ineptitude-in-valor-stealing, I think either he is living in a psych ward or a psych ward run by its inmates has taken up residence in his head.
