Title: Hillsdale College Student's Reflection on Memorial Day
Post by: TheRepublicsFinestHour on May 23, 2015, 01:16:18 PM
Hello, my name is Keith Vrotsos and I am a student at Hillsdale College. Recently some friends and I started a new club on campus called, The Republic's Finest Hour. The mission of our club is as follows:
What makes a free man? What is his duty? How does he maintain his freedom? Momentous questions! Here flattery is treason; error, destruction. The mission of The Republic’s Finest Hour is to solidify on campus a group of Hillsdale’s most capable men—real patriots, who are moved by love and obligation to become more compelling, articulate, and magnanimous men as they enter into the battle of ideas to defend the principles of their republican government.

This Memorial Day, the men of The Republic's Finest Hour at Hillsdale College encourage you to honor our fallen soldiers by embracing your duty to preserve the freedom, which they so willingly died to protect.

I've heard a lot of great testimonials about Hillsdale.
I was thinking about taking the course they offer on the constitution.

Didn't Paul Harvey mention them a lot during his radio shows?

I believe so. I know Mark Levin is a huge proponent of them now and they advertise on his show.

The contrast between the OP and our current president on this subject is nearly infinite.
Does anyone remember owebuma's first memorial day.
He embarrassed himself, all the fallen, and our whole country by not knowing what the day stood for.
It was obvious as a NYT headline that he thought it was Veteran's day.
I think he is infamized in our "gaffes of owebuma" thread for that whopper.
If not he should be.

He did it again yesterday. All the soundbites I heard yesterday he specifically rememnered.the dead in Afghanistan...but not.those that died in Iraq.

Probably the only predominantly liberal arts college (other than predominantly religious) in the country world that I approve of the cirriculum.
