Is there one person in America that has not deleted their email??

That is what most people think when they hear the Repubs bellowing about Hilary's emails.

Everybody did it until Hillary became SoS, then they changed the rule. After all, what is more important than Hillary's personal emails? Yeah, Repubs would like to see all her personal stuff but it really is none of their business.

If truth be known, every Republican that is screaming about Hillary's ethics probably have deleted their personal emails this week? Look over here - don't look at their own shady dealings.

1. my non-spam emails go back to 1989

storage is cheap... and a definitive record of what I told someone or they told me is priceless

3. Stakes are enormous. Just think about what happened when the SC stole the 2000 election

Nothing on this planet would be the same if we had not endured that 8 yrs of outright criminals.

Maybe somewhere in the remote parts of the Amazon or Saharan Desert, but for the most part, their crimes, wars, and horrific public relations disasters, have changed EVERYTHING.

Now, just IMAGINE a repub house, senate AND White House in the day and age of the moron TeaParTY

It might literally be the beginning of the end of everything.

Invade Iran, maybe start a nuclear war.

Ignore climate change so it goes into overdrive, etc.

This is no joke.

They want to kill Muslims, they are all talking about it, Santorum, Levin on the radio the other day said we need to kill them all, etc.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

both parties are not REMOTELY the same

5. I think it's a little different here.

It's one thing to use your work email address for personal matters, and normal to delete these just to keep things orderly.

It's probably a good thing to preserve them, not empty the trash, just to defend oneself against anything that might come up.

When you work for a government outfit, the mail server is under the control of the agency and they can save whatever you send and receive, even what you delete.

But that safeguard is gone when you decide unilaterally to host the server in your private residence. All that is gone.

If you do that, and then delete what you don't want shared, and then wipe or destroy the hard drive.

Well, how does that NOT creep you out?

She was our Secretary of State for crying out loud. I expect far better behavior from a cabinet member.

Bad judgment, at the very least.

6. I don't delete anything..

I think I've used something like eight percent of my allowed storage on Google and I've had the same Gmail account for over a decade. I found out the hard way that deleting emails can cause you problems sometimes so I stopped doing it a long time ago.

Of course I'm not signed up for a jillion spam emails either, I have a separate account I hardly ever look at for that sort of nonsense.

I watch my friends spend a good bit of time deciding which emails to delete and which to save, seems like a huge waste of time to me given how cheap storage is these days, I could put every email I have stored on a $5 thumb drive.

Oh, and mixing work and private email is just stupid and sooner or later everyone I know that's done it has had it come back and bite them in the ass to a greater or lesser extent.

7. Where I work we are required to save emails

Sure, I delete emails from my personal email everyday. If I scrubbed the main sever clean (which I dont have access to) I would be fired.

If I used my personal email to avoid the servers, I would be fired.

8. I deleted all 33,000 emails about my oldest Daughter's wedding just last week.

<<<doesn't delete e-mails, but computer crashes about every three or four years, necessitating tossing it into the trash and getting a new computer, starting all over again.

I'm not seeing a lot of sympathy for deleting emails in the Dump.
I'm a little uncomfortable seeing the libs react rationally to this issue.

I wouldn't worry too much.  I'm sure it's only a clitch, a "blind squirrel moment", so to speak.  This too, shall pass.   :-)

And to think...these are the same loons that went ape shit over the WH reluctance to release the names of the Oil Execs Cheney met with.

Hillary deletes emails that implicate her in illegal activity...the DUmp says *meh*

H-5 apiece!

Blind squirrel, Prog-Purist squirrel, smacked-by-reality squirrel, trepidation-filled squirrel (at what those emails might reveal), whatever ...

Their internecine wrangling should be encouraged. Besides making pulling together later less likely, angry people do foolish and self-destructive stuff, .

Maybe they think if it hurts Hillary its helps Bernie or some other not-Hillary.

What I have been observing of late is that they are now behaving a lot like a kid with a new toy.  Bernie is the new toy,  their hero on the half shell.   Once the newness wears off and the reality of their situation sets in the crying will begin.   How much damage can Bernie do to Hillary?  Enough I hope.  She can do the rest to herself.

If the situation continues to deteriorate in the Middle East I predict a blow out of epic proportions as it will solidify the meme 'democratics are weak on defense'.  Think Carter and Viet Nam.  Helicopters departing embassy roofs in the Middle East just before the election sure won't help them, nor will their base turn out if Obama has to send in troops.  They are in a classic lose / lose situation if the Republicans exploit it correctly.

Maybe I'm wrong. but I think Ford was President when we evacuated Vietnam. OTOH, Carter had the embassy hostages and the failed rescue attempt (gut the military and unpleasant @#$% becomes more likely!).

Ford didn't get elected in 1976, and Carter was a one-termer - and a failure! - which is the point you were making, zg. Americans don't like foreign policy gross failures, and BHO's foreign policy is shaping up to be an epic fail. Come January BHO and Moochchelle will walk out of the WH and onto the rubber chicken circuit or book-advance solicitations. The people who will have do the work to try to set aright BHO's utter mess probably won't fare so well.
