Title: Lindsay Graham to run for president.
Post by: JohnnyReb on May 18, 2015, 03:55:38 PM
Says he is 99.9% sure he will run for president and will make his decision for sure June 1. I hope he does and has to give up his senate seat to do it. Then in the republican presidential primary maybe S.C. will be able to really show how much we love him.....NOT.

We want another Jim DeMint in Grahams seat.

I'm 99.9 percent sure I will not be voting for him.

I know I won't be. He won't make it to the Illinois primary.

Very few of the contenders will, and I'll be left with a choice of which RINO to vote for.

I'm hoping his home state will do an "Al Gore" on him in the primary.

I dunno, they've been dumb enough to keep sending him back to DC, but then again Tennessee did the same with Al Gore.

Screw that moron.  I'd have a tough time even voting for him over Crazy Bernie.

I don't know what your problems are, he's the only true conservative in the field.

Hey, we voted for him the first time because we didn't know any better. Voted for him the second and third time because anything beats a crazy Charleston democrat.

The reason he won the last time is there were to many running against him in the republican primary. I think he knows his days as S.C. senator are numbered and this is best chance to make a graceful exit.

Hey, by the time Lindsey was on the ballot in the last mid-terms, I had already made my vow never to vote for a rino again. I was happy to vote for Tim Scott, but Lindsey's slot for Senate I didn't choose anyone.
Why do so many line up to run for the Presidency when they know they can't win?
Michael Savage covered this on a show a long time ago, & I recall him saying there's alot of money to be made just for running for office.  I mean, Santorum, Huckabee, Trump & Lindsey must know they can't get pass 1st base.

I felt the same way about Lamar Alexander.  His opponent was some liberal kook and failed trial lawyer. :whatever:

Lindsey Grahampa has an obvious RINO plan. Play the conservative hawk, and siphon votes from the real conservatives during the primaries, thus allowing the GOP/MSM to get their choice of Jeb Bush as the GOP nominee.

Lindsey is back on the conservative bandwagon somewhat, but he had a stint not long ago where he went hard over to the left.
I was shocked as I thought he was a rock ribbed conservative.

Most of these dudes are rich. So, making more money is not their #1 goal. Feeding their insatiable appetite for recognition while campaigning, lust for power and bolstering their bloated ego is. .

Is it me, or does Graham emit an odor of faggotry?

Whether or not that's true, he's still an opportunist looking to quench his thirst for power -- which won't happen. He might have even figured that out by now.

Eupher,  you may be on to something.
If Lindsey won, would he be the 2nd gay President?
Just wondering, since everyone's out of the closet, in your face & ready to sue you if you don't bake a cake.

Lacarnut, I agree with you, there is a constant thirst for recognition, power, & elevating their already huge egos.

Lindsey Graham acquired mucho money from lobbyists, like most politicians.   So when his Senate re-election got closer, he had $7 million piled up.  Those darn lobbyists, they sure do have the powerful upper hand.

Not just you.  However that isn't what I dislike.  He and McCain are of the school that all civil liberties must be sacrificed in the name of security, and no level of risk is worth preserving Constitutional protections if they perceive an opening for terrorists in those liberties.

Just my opinion, McCain & Graham have been liberalized.
& the Constitution just doesn't fit in with liberal ideology.

"The U.S. Constitution and specifically the support for rugged individualism which is evident in the Bill of Rights, is the enemy of the Liberal."

I agree to some extent, however on the libertarian issues, I think both of them are focused on security at all costs, even if liberty is included in those costs.

Personally I don't believe it is possible to absolutely prevent each and every future terrorist attack, we have just been fortunate that the vast majority of the attackers so far have been inept amateurs with no comprehension of police agency stings and traps, operational security, signal security, or how to gather the necessary materials without being compromised.  It seems to me Graham and McCain would cheerfully push us over the edge of a slope leading to a country where the government knows far too much about what everyone is doing all the time, loves that power too much to ever release it, and we have a population and media too thoroughly controlled to ever dare pulling it back.

Well, I don't think the good people at The Federalist are much interested in Lindsay Graham's announcement either.

The truth is always a good thing.
& whether Lindsay Graham runs or not, what difference will it make?

Jorge Ramos, host of Noticiero Univision:

"The last election, 2012, about 12 million Latinos went to the polls. In 2016, about 16 million Latinos will go to the polls. And there's a new rule in American politics, and it's beautiful: That no one can make it to the White House without the Hispanic vote."

"In a very close election, and the next election is going to be very close again, Latinos will decide, 16 million votes will decide who is going to be the next president of the United States."

"...for the first time, we could get something in return for our vote."

Yep, our King, McConnell, Boehner & the rest of the liberal legislators knew exactly what they were doing with our open border policy, advertising food stamps in Mexico, getting everyone into the public school system, so instead of teaching, they could learn the language & how to vote....& make certain their shelters are top of the line.

I just flipped on Faux news, so I don't have a link.

There was Lindsey Graham, in SC, formerly announcing his Presidential campaign.
I'll paraphrase; one of his statements he indicated that in foreign policy he has more experience than any other candidate in the presidential race.

I thought he should say he has more experience than anyone else in supplying arms to rebels, & replenishing his war chest with the help of the military industrial complex.

If there's "good news" in this he may spread out some of the votes that Jeb would otherwise get.

I'd vote for Pat Paulsen in CA's meaningless primary before I'd vote for Jeb, Carly, or Graham!

The un-esteemed Lindsey Graham is calling for 100,000 troops to fight radical islam.

"Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who is considering a 2016 presidential bid, said on Sunday it would require 10,000 American "boots on the ground" to stop the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Syria."

What's the matter, Lindsey, war chest a little down from your re-election campaign in the '14 mid-terms?

I'll tell you what, if they ever agree to send troops to this losing cause, it'll be even more PC than when Bush went in, if that's possible.  The jails will fill up with military just because they did their job, or shot the enemy to protect themselves.   I say let these 6th century throw-backs fight their own civil war without any Americans present.  Personally, I was against the middle eastern wars from day 1.  They just didn't make any sense.  They weren't fought to win, that's for sure, & Bush the do-gooder was more involved in Nation building.

So when we, the unrepresented taxpayers built this deluxe Embassy in Iraq, & if ISIS takes over Baghdad, will we get a refund?  Just check out the glorious photos in the 2nd link. We should live that good.
