Not much to bring here, but the whole world's been waiting with breathless anxiety, to hear from the rsmith primitive how it's been going for him.

Outstanding Student Loan Forgivness

I have outstanding student loans that have gone in to collections. They are Strattford unsub and sub loans.

I want to get back on track to paying them. My only payments have been by my IRS tax refund for the past several years.

What is a legitimate link to the website that President Obama talks about. I know there are some links that will gouge you and I dont need that.

If you know the link please post it.............. Thanks.

Okay now, the rsmith primitive is no spring chicken.

It's just a guess, but probably he was attending college back when Lyndon was in the White House.

And he's still paying off those loans?

1. this will help

good call to get out of default... I did it years ago and as long as there is communication, most lenders will work with you... especially with new laws and attitudes about the dire problem of student loans

He got these loans to pay for truck driving school just four or five years ago, when he was around sixty years old.

He got scammed into a multi-year course to learn how to drive an 18-wheeler, after which he failed  the test repeatedly.

He probably borrowed enough to go to Notre Dame.

They taught him to drive ahead straight and level, but he never was able to back it up.

Kept wrecking into the dock or stopping way short.

So his professional driving career was limited to a hotel-airport shuttle.

Last time he checked in he was trying to get a job picking up litter in a city park.

As nadin would say, I'm not surprised he defaulted.

The magic of compound interest!!!  He probably wasn't even paying enough yearly with his tax check to cover the interest over the years, let alone pay off the principle.

Rsmithnumbers hasn't moved to North Carolina yet?

Student loans? Randall? The only school he attended after high school that I know of is that truck driving school where he had trouble backing up the truck,

I thought that's what it was.  Starting out driving a truck at 60-65...?

I know a lady that just started driving a semi at age 54, again.

Of course she did so many years ago, and just had to have a little refresher training and renew her license.

Einstein called it the 8th wonder of the world.

My take on his post is that he wants a partial or total write-off:

I have to say, his faith that BHO's student loan demagoguery has a relationship to reality is touching:

Or does his faith in BHO mean he's touched? I get those confused ...
