Screw the 'safety net'....

Just a random thought, the 'safety net' that we talk about needing in our society is a horrible image. It plays into wing-nut talking points about government making it a trap.

We need a floor.

A basic simple level floor that we won't allow people to fall below.

Floor what floor? Hardwood or tile?  :whatever:

DUmmies know all about the 'floor'. It's the floor of their parents' basement.

We have no problem with a safety net. We have a problem with people using it as a hammock held up by taxpayers.

The floor that the Cheeto stained matress lays on (in mommy's basement). The one reeking of pot smoke and stale urine. DUmpukes are soooo unappreciative.

For most DUmmies, it is whatever floor they pass out on in their drunken or drug induced stupor.

Does that include Will Pitt?  :-)

Hammock?   I wish!

It's now a 4 poster canopy bed!!!

Pitt passes out and falls off the park bench, and dogs use him like a fire hydrant.

A floor would be a step up for him.

You know, I was thinking about this thread a couple of days ago. Some people require there be a bottom. They NEED a bottom. A really bad bottom. Without that bottom they gave no desire to lift themselves up. When we provide a safety net, are we not harming these people who may otherwise figure out what it takes to become productive citizens of society?  Would we not then be the more compassionate for helping to lift them out of the muck they find themselves in?

No, and no... I think. Answering negatively constructed questions always confuses me.

All of the hosebags at the DUmp require that someone else take responsibility for their problems.  It's the DUmp way.

It became a floor quite awhile ago, doorknob....

Reality?  Yes.

Today's world of bizarre?  Cue the Marxist "bootstrap" boilerplate nonsense.

...and the moron masses of perpetual children, lap it up.

I agree with Texacon.
The bottom should be a ledge you could climb up from, or fall from to a lower ledge.

For many people, making failure impossible makes attempting to succeed all but impossible. And the perversity of plundering the successful to reward the indolent and improvident leads some who would succeed to temper their success and productivity.

Well said, but sadly the DUches wouldn't agree. You try to explain that to  a DUche, and all you'll hear will be the sound of the vacuum in their head where their brain is supposed to be being sucked in through their ears.

I don't understand why, but DUches think it is only 'fair' that people with more should share with people who have less..  By gunpoint.

The fact that they don't see that it stifles creativity and innovation and the willingness of the workforce to you know, WORK, is astounding.

Envy is a powerful poison. It underlies Libs' and Progs' gunpoint OPM "charity".

And with the way you Dems (and the RINO's) spend like drunken Marxists...you'd drill right through that floor and start creating a basement...which some how seems like an appropriate example for the DUmmies to comprehend.

Good grief, now the DUmpukes are bottomhurt.   :whistling:
