Oh my.

One wonders to whom Big Mo's crowd is referring; they're sort of vague.

hello

I really hope I can contribute here, and that this group is respected, on DU and on the wider internet.

Here goes: I have chronic depression, since age 6. On two meds for it. Father was Bipolar I. Mom had depression. I get it genetically.

There was an incident a while back of someone "raiding" this group to smear another DU'er, which I found really despicable. Hopefully that will never happen again. No, I'm not going to give out any links or hints. It's over now, in the ancient past. As you can tell, that incident stopped me from coming here for months and months.

Lurkers and freepers, you are lower than dog shit if you take the content in this group to ridicule people or smear people. That's a fact, not just my opinion.

At any rate, hello and thanks for welcoming me to this wonderful and MUCH needed group.

1. hey there steve.

i agree w your statement about the freepers that drag this forum. i have quite a following on a certain website. ( there pond scum.) i try not to watch it too closely, but every now and again i check it out. it reminds me why i love du.

it also reminds me that the world is full of broken people, something that i have a hard time remembering.

try not to let it hold you back. (like it does me sometimes)

hope you are doing well. i am hanging on by the skin of my teeth these days, but still hanging all the same.

you are very welcome here. it is the best group on du, imho. nothing but sweet and accepting people.

6. Welcome, Steve.

The important thing for most people of this group to remember is that they are as anonymous as they make themselves. That is, if you don't put any identifying information out there, you won't have to worry about the dickheads who mock people who post here. Personally, I don't give a damn about them.

I have bipolar 1, and I don't go around advertising it in real life, but it's not going to hurt me if more people know about it. Many people are just ignorant about mental illness and they fear what they do not know. I know how to handle that, and I'm usually not bothered by people like that. Those who mock people who post here are really in that same category. The problem with them is that they have no empathy or compassion. I'd much rather have my problem than theirs.

Yes, you're right. I'm making it a point not to go to the infamous sites who stalk us. I'd also rather have my condition than theirs.

Well, it's obviously not us, because nobody here's known for being empathy- or compassion-challenged; we're all nice people.  The primitives should be more specific, so we may join them in condemning such jerks and rectal apertures.

Has the cave made fun of someone with a true mental illness?

Nope, that's why we know Big Mo's crowd is referring to somebody else, not us.

<<<would like to know who those jerks are, though, who make fun of mentally-ill people.

The entire DUmp is a study in mental illness.
Out of that bunch there is a subset that wants attention, back slaps and applause for proclaiming it.
They can eat shit.

They never ask themselves why DU, the democrat party, and liberalism itself attracts the mentally ill and emotionally disturbed.  You would think that fact would bother them just a little bit.

Maybe our pet primitive Buzzy can answer that one for us.

Well, he starts out with a lie, since every prominent DUmmy obsessively checks in here, hoping for attention.

As far as stevenumbers's "condition" is concerned, those repulsive TV commercials have taught us that erections lasting more than four hours require medical attention.

The DUmp loony bin could be a great place for stevenumbers to update us on the current state of his love life.

His dating saga was one of the funniest, best storylines in DUmp history.

I don't think they really care what type of people are in their party.

Colescountydem is a prime example of that.

If we did not make fun of people with mental illness, most of the democrat party and all of the DUmp would be off limits.

Is it possible to be diagnosed with depression at age 6?

Also, I thought most mental illnesses didn't manifest to your mid 20s?  Like schizophrenia.

They mature slowly if at all.
But they make up for it with accelerated insanity.

These people are democrats. They'll spend their welfare check on acupuncture, or a therapist for their dog.

I'm sure they can find someone to diagnose a six-year-old with depression.

The incident they are referring to was when the radical feminists started warring with the other feminists.  The man-haters started a smear campaign against Neoma who was a moderator for the feminist group.  They decided she didn't hate men enough and tried to get her tossed because she posted about her mental issues on the mental health board.  After the smoke cleared they created the HOF group for the RadFems.  As usual, pure projection from the DUmmies.  Nothing to do with us and everything to do with the nastiness and intolerance they display towards each other.

Hence the reason we say Liberalism is a mental disorder.

First the seabeyond salad maker and now Big Mo. What is it with these people and their fear of uppercase letters? Are they just too lazy to simply press the shift key when you type a letter? Or are they too stupid to find the shift key? If "too stupid" is the answer I'll give them a clue. The shift key is the key that has the word "shift" printed on it.

Maybe I'm just in a pissy mood. I don't know, but I do know that it aggravates me. Sure, my writing is far from perfect. I make grammar mistakes. My punctuation is not always correct. My spelling sometimes looks like some letters fell from the sky and I placed them where they fell. All of that doesn't matter as I'm a southern fundie repuke redneck Christian. In other words, I have an excuse for my failures in the literary arena. DUers on the other hand are the self-proclaimed most intelligent people on the planet. How can it be that a stupid southern fundie repuke redneck Christian type more legible sentences than the smartest people on the planet?

If it drugs? Do drugs cause some sort of shift key phopia? I guess the possibility exists that when the DUmmies sit down at their computer keyboards and the keys get a good look at the DUmmie in question the shift key hits its eject button and shoots from the keyboard.

Moral of the story: Don't post after taking Ambien.

Their posts reflect both the regards and respect they have for their audience as well as a window into how disturbed and demented their world is.

"there pond scum", really?

That be retardant for sure.

I wonder if brain rot is a symptom of end-stage hookworm infestation.

That little junkyard Big Mo uses to torment the neighbors is surely sown with old broken bottles and shards of metal.

Then Big Mo wades around it, barefoot, through sloughs of chicken manure, with the inevitable nicks and cuts providing a highway for hookworms to invade the Big Mo bloodstream.

Big Mo is marching double time down the path recently trod by the late Lucinda, and the results aren't going to be pretty.
