This is at least somewhat creative, but still BS.

A whole new tactic against homophobes that I just witnessed, and boy does it have me thinking!
I live in Houston, which is kind of an lightly liberal Oasis in the middle of a huge conservative desert. For lunch today I went to one of my favorite eat spots in town called the Hobbit Cafe (excellent food and ale, but I digress).
I was sitting in one of the side dining rooms, when I saw my waitress suddenly start yelling the most horrendous things at this group of men in the front dining area. She was calling them faggots, yelling at them to get out, that we don't serve queers, and every time any of the group members even tried to speak up she'd cut them off and yell something like "I said get out faggot!".
Needless to say, myself and much of the restaurant was stunned by this, as this is a place that is definitely heavy with liberal clientele, and even more shocking since I know this waitress, and I know she's a lesbian and quite out and quite supportive of the community.
After the group high tailed it out of there, her and the manager stepped up and announced that my waitress had witnessed the guys talking bad about gays, and talking about their support of laws that support discrimination, so she pretended to think they were gay and give them some of their own medicine that they support to see what it feels like to be on the receiving end of it.
I've got to say, I'd never really thought about it before, but DAMN that's a brilliant approach! You live in a state that allows this discrimination, you get a customer that's obviously in support of it.. pretend you think they are gay and kick them out on their arses because of it.

2. well one downside is that i wouldn't have stuck around for the explanation
had i heard that scene going on nearby....
i don't like the idea of using terms like "faggot" even if it's to teach a pointed lesson to a bigot.
points for creativity, though!!

5. Had it been some other kind of establishment, I think I would have too.
I was just shocked and stunned because of the type of place Hobbit Cafe it.. It's a place that has a varied menu, but a large selection of vegetarian and Vegan fare, and a very liberal/progressive atmosphere.. the vast majority of the staff are fellow LGBT.
If it had been a Chili's, or forbid a chic-filet (which I wouldn't have been in to begin with), I'd have been out of there on the first outburst.. for it to unfold in a place like this though.. I was temporarily stunned and shocked in silent inaction.

Ok that right there confirms this is a bouncy.
Houston is the home of Sheila Jackson Lee. It's not "lightly" Liberal. H'town is hardcore Liberal....just like Austin.
It's the last place you'd find something like this fantasy happening.
Now if it had happened in Amarillo or Midland or Abilene it would hav ebeen more believeable.

I've heard of gay bars that are packed with homos, but not a whole queer restaurant.
Maybe such a place exists, but it's kind of sickening to think about, and hard to imagine in Texas.
This DUmbass was making an awful effort to make up a bouncy about the idea that a business can refuse service to queers.
His bouncy skill is on a par with that of DUmmy rsmithnumbers, which is to say he has no bouncy skill.
And whatever happened to rsmithnumbers, anyway?

Liberals think it's okay to use gay slurs as putdowns directed towards normal people.

Somebody is doing a poor job moling.
-
What a stupid bouncy.
I'm pretty sure and owner would be pissed if his employee made a gigantic scene.
-
I was thinking about posting the bouncy on the restaurants FB page and asking if it really happened, could help to shine a light on the roaches at DU.
-
Cool story bro!

Note to self...Go to Hobbit Cafe with a large group of friends, order a lot of food, eat a lot of food, talk trash about gay marriage and get kicked out before the check comes. :evillaugh:

Or demand to see manager and complain about rude waitress, that way you get free meal and a show when he kicks her ass out the door. :rotf:

You're right. Someone needs to burn a mole over and post a proper bouncy. With cops in bushes, crowds of nodding observers, blustery teabaggers and long verbatim quotes. The current level of bouncy post being submitted nowadays is pathetic.
-
It's on Richmond Ave. just north of highway 59, SW.
I do have a hard time believing anyplace named The Hobbit Cafe, to be staffed by bigots.
Stupid DUmpuke should have shopped around for a more appropriate restaurant name.
Maybe "The Conservative Straight People's Cafe". Ya, that's the ticket. :rotf:
DUmb bouncy doesn't even deserve a rating.

Never spent much time in Houston proper, but mostly the suburbs. Those portions are very conservative.
