This morning we woke to a winter storm
And flood advisory. A nice cold, wet winter storm. This afternoon I expect quite the rain day stats from the CHP. We need the rain. The thunder scared the birds, but if it is raining out where you are (here it seems it's passed) careful out there.

Remember kids, Thunder scares the birds.

2. The conure freaked And wanted to dive. She does not like fireworks either.

Conures are a diverse, loosely-defined group of small to medium-sized parrots

But no though we stil have two cells off the coast. One 15 miles out and another at 40 with a SE prevailing winds. One of the cells might collapse.

Just looked at the radar I expect rain stats to be somewhat high. One of those should hit the county at evening main drive time. WWWEEE!

And right on time it's started to rain..WWWEEEE!!!!

Current reflectivity radar from NWS

13. In fact, I am going to share these stats with you Sid

since you seem utterly fascinated by weather in my town. These are the most recent stats we have gotten from the state agency. Mind you, this is important, they are not done for the day, and I expect a third update by either later today or tomorrow. I will make sure you are kept informed on this.

Slick Roads Lead to Accidents on San Diego Freeways

May 8, 2015 (San Diego) According to the California Highway Patrol, as of 12:00 there were 190 accidents. According to the State Agency, there are anywhere from 100 to 170 accidents on our freeways over a normal day.

There are ways to avoid this. Give yourself extra time. Don’t speed, don’t text, don’t answer the phone,. Avoid all distracted driving. Also make sure that if your windshield wipers are running, your lights are on.

No link needed either. Now back to actual serious work. These news releases are easy peachy, daily grind kind of thing. I did not know you were that interested.

She answered him twice.

She then gets into quiet the fight over her past posts. I won't bring it over here- you should really read them in their natural environment.

22. Here Sid, I just got the email

Afternoon update from the CHP. which reports 231 accidents on roads of their jurisdiction at three this afternoon. As they reminded us, they have 100 to 170 crashes on a "good weather day."

Glad to see she's on scanner AND e-mail duty!

56. Yes, it is, but I suspect it is human nature

California has a huge footprint and multiple biomes. Go to LA, or coastal san diego, for example and ask about the high or low desert. I promise some amusing answers.

We live smack dab on the coast, but doing the wildfires we are acutely aware of how much the temp alone changes just driving 10 miles inland.

36. Climactic Change is starting to change patters
this is (still) a nice winter storm... in May. we even got snow in the lagunas.

Just from looking at the intergovernmental data, from the UN, I know change is affecting the Caribbean too.

Never mistake weather with climate, but weather patterns are indeed changing, which indicates the climactic change over the long haul.

Sid was right on the ball with the hail call.
After 60cm of hail in a mexican desert, it shows that several feet of hail can hit anyone anywhere.
At first I didn't think cousin nadin caught the dig, but then...

I detect more than a little sarcasm there.

Never mistake weather with climate,

:thatsright:  From people who really can't define either, on a consistent basis, without their talking points handbook.

I like my climaxes just fine so I'm on the fence about any climactic change.

In March we had 7 days of temps in the 80's, she was all over FB and her blog saying that it was absolute proof of "climactic" change.  She doesn't have a very consistent message.

Every time it rains, DUmp democrats say it's because of Americans driving cars and using electricty.

They say the same thing every time it doesn't rain

The climate change cult is truly more demented then the comet chasers from the mid 90s.
Wish they would take the same proactive steps as them too.

Nadin: Weather girl. Because you can't find in depth weather reporting anywhere else.

seriously folks. Nadin needs to go the next step. She needs a You Tube news Vlog. Nads, trust me. You will have MILLIONS of viewers every week! (unlike your website)

A mike is 20 Bucks. The camera is most likely already built into your computer. YOU WERE BORN TO REPORT THE NEWS! This is your destiny. If the web hits are not coming, wear a bikini.

Make a Vlog news site, and they will come!

She's already burning youtube up. The video below has 74 views and only 68 of the views were from me trying to understand what was being said.

This is the first time I've ever played one of her videos.

Her voice - astounding!!

I urge anyone who hasn't to check it out.

Her video work is as awful as her writing and photography.

The sound quality is atrocious, cluttered terribly with extraneous noise, but the nad voice comes through.

She sounds like Natasha, from Rocky and Bullwinkle! Or maybe Natasha after a year in Mexico, but mainly Natasha.

It's the funniest thing I've heard in ages!

You can tell that she was just itching to go off on that guy towards the end when her head started jerking around, luckily her training as a non-biased journalist kicked in.

I cannot understand a "winter storm" when winter ended in March.  How does that work?

I said the same thing about her over a year ago after hearing her speak at a car show.  I think she was riding in a Jeep over an indoor test track, and was replying to the driver's question.

Just watched the video.  Her outfit - shirt, vest, ball cap - combined with her general shape makes her really close to a Michael Moore look-a-like.  One wonders if this was the plan.

The background for the video is great. Great American Gas, that is...  :lmao:

"Overhoed the beeto?"  What?

Did she weed the beets, or dig them out of the ground?

Just like Jimmy Buffet and his hit song "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere"...
Cousin nadin thinks it's always winter somewhere.
