It is absolutely okay to provoke religious fundamentalists
In fact, we should not submit to following any religion's rules of behavior in order to "not offend".
I don't care if it's drawing a cartoon, or sitting next to a woman on a plane, or gay marriage, or abortion.
We should always refuse to obey their silly rules, furthermore we should ACTIVELY oppose their rules. If they want to obey their own rules fine, but they can't expect to force others to follow them. As an atheist, I bristle at any pressure or threats religious groups make to impose their to get other people to not offend or inflame them.
In fact, if we don't push back, we, in effect, succumb to their rules.
We SHOULD actively seek to offend the religious, and we should ALWAYS refuse to follow their rules especially when they try to bully us with threats and violence.

Actually, the panhandling primitive's referring to Christian and Jewish "fundies" only.
Surely he's excluded Islamic "fundies."

Well that would be a change ... for the Muslim Jihadis. As for theologically conservative Christians and Jews, that's pretty much what's been going on the past 3 or 4 decades.
BTW, if the dude really means what he said literally, he just said murder, theft, kidnapping, rape, perjury, and fraud are OK, since those are against Christians' and Jews' "rules".
I'm assuming, of course, that the dude is using "fundamentalists" in the sloppy MSM and pop-culture sense (basically, any religious person whose religion defines "right" and "wrong" and affects how they live), not what the term actually means historically.

That's exactly what he did Frank. They are a protected class that can NEVER be offended or have anything offensive said about them.

The term "Fundamentalist" was AFAIK first used, a little over a century ago, of Christians who rejected the trends toward theological liberals' rejections of "fundamental" teachings of Christianity such as the Deity of Jesus, that sin, heaven, and hell are real, that faith in Jesus is necessary for salvation from sin and hell, that Jesus will return bringing judgment. "Fundamentalist" was what they called themselves. Contrary to the stereotypes believed among Libs and Progs, many/most early Fundamentalists highly educated, some of them professors at Princeton University. Education is still respected among real Fundamentalists ("real" as opposed to those Libs and Progs in ignorance wrongly call Fundamentalists), and many have attended and graduated from college (and not just institutions like Bob Jones University).
I am not a Fundamentalist, and it would take me 20 or 30 seconds for me to convince a real Fundamentalist of that. But I do respect them for many things and consider them my brothers and sisters in Christ.

I guess my point above is that the deeper you dig into Libs/Progs "knowledge" of the "Fundamentalists" they fear and loath, the shallower their actual knowledge and the deeper their ignorance are revealed to be.
