Oh my.
I thought maybe this had something to do with that primitive who was rude to cops somewhere down in Florida, and got into some trouble for it, but apparently it's someone else. The original post is simply a copy-and-paste of a news article, and one notices some sort of affinity between the babbling sister primitive and the Swanson TV dinner primitive.

Nearly everyone carries a cell phone and it’s hard to find one without that camera feature. It’s convenient when you want to take that impromptu photo, but a Tri-Cities area man ended up behind bars after snapping a shot of a Johnson County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop.
The cell phone photographer says the arrest was intimidation, but the deputy says he feared for his life.
“Here’s a guy who takes me out of the car and arrests me in front of my kids. For what? To take a picture of a police officer?†said Scott Conover.
A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy arrested Scott Conover for unlawful photography.
“He says you took a picture of me. It’s illegal to take a picture of a law enforcement officer,†said Conover.
Conover took a picture of a sheriff’s deputy on the side of the road on a traffic stop. Conover was stunned by the charge.
“This is a public highway,†said Conover.
And it was not a place where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy as Tennessee code states. The deputy also asked Conover to delete the picture three times.
“He said if you don’t give it to me, you’re going to jail,†said Conover.

Fairness dictates that if the government can have cameras in public places, then so should any other citizen have the right to have cameras in "public places" and further, to use them.

Sorry, but it is(or at least used to be) entirely legal to photograph a public official going about their job, and this includes cops.
This is simply another sign of the increasing police state. Too many cops have gotten burned by videos like the Rodney King one, and now want to make it illegal to photograph cops in order that they can continue to brutalize people in secret.
Speaking of "no expectation of privacy while on duty," what's this deal about not mentioning Barry "Goldwater" Obama's middle name, or talking about Ms. Barry "Goldwater" Obama?

4. Major civil rights violation.
I'd say that it was a violation of 4th Amendment rights, but recent events show that authority in this country would prefer to use the U.S. Constitution as toilet paper. So I guess it doesn't really matter.

5. Stupid cop, is all. I like the part where he refused to comment to reporters because he didn't want to incriminate himself. Translation: "****, I screwed up. Maybe if I hide under a bed it will go away?"
In a month, he'll be harassing other civilians for not ordering fries with their burger.
A cop buddy of mine used to say that cops make up half the stuff they charge you with, and figure out what actual laws were broken after they get you to the station. He used to laugh about a "Hill Street Blues" scene where an overweight man was arrested for sitting on a cop. When the desk sergeant asked what the charge was, the officer thought for a moment, then said "Gravitational Assault."

I do not relish the point where ordinary law-abiding citizens have to keep cops at gunpoint to prevent arrest for taking pictures and keeping our law enforcement agencies accountable to the people they are supposed to protect and serve.

Hmmmm.
One suspects the above primitives should check his little red book, finding that it's not kosher, not a good thing, for primitives to be critical of socialist paradises.

8. The distinction between law enforcement, national security and military personnel is getting more blurred all the time and this is one of the consequences. How many stories like this one have we read just in the last year?
Somewhere along the line a few primitives speak up lukewarmly in favor of the cop, but with the above, by the stupidest person on the whole entire internet, Doug's ex-wife, one closes.

The whole story is here along with copies of the witness statements. It appears that the officer thought he saw a red light and thought was a laser and he felt like he was in danger. That's what I got from the link anyway.

They don't say it in the DUmmie link but he was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Pointing a Laser at a Law Enforcement Officer (yes, that's illegal because it could be a gun) and Unlawful Photography.
Read the pdf link down at the bottom of the article. The officer's handwritten account is interesting. The guy got irate and even his wife told him to "just delete it" and he refused. And, he had his kids in the backseat. He instructed his daughter to "take another picture!!!" as he was flailing his arms around making it difficult to be put into custody. Nice example there DUmmie!

It looks like Mr. Hummer driver was passing by while the officer had a Mustang stopped for a traffic violation. He decided to turn around and take a picture and taunt the officers and stick his nose in the middle of it. Never a good thing.

Looking back I have to agree with this. Unless law enforcement is in a private investigation or stake out, if their actions are in public, then they are fair game for public photography.
That is the only thing that saved Rodney King's ass.

Normally I would agree. Law enforcement should not be afraid to have their actions documented. Barring any undercover work, legalities, etc... Besides, they all have video cameras in their cruisers for a reason. And, most officers carry a portable recording device to catch their verbal interactions with complainants.
But in this case? I'm not so sure. The context matters. This guy wasn't even involved in the traffic stop. He was merely driving down the street (in a gas guzzling Hummer no less) and observed a patrol car working a traffic stop. He then drove down the street and turned around. (How dangerous was that?? Hmmm....) He decided to insert himself into the traffic stop and take a picture just "because he could" according to what I believe to be a DUmmie mentality. They thought he was pointing a weapon at them and they saw a red laser. It's a wonder they didn't draw their own weapons on him.

Did any of you ever you the complete tape of that? The news media cut out a good portion of it. The longer version shows Rodney King spread eagle on the ground and 4 or 5 cops standing around with 2 down trying to put the cuffs on him. All of a sudden, like a rocket, Rodney King springs, and I MEAN SPRINGS, up off the ground and is beating hell out of all those cops......and doesn't quit until the point where the news media always stated playing the tape. If I'd been a cop there, I'd probably have shot him.
