Tempted to envy them on rare occasions
How nice would it be to fail miserably at your job, then be touted for promotion...

After NBC finally covered the sex scandal plaguing the Drug Enforcement Administration with a mere 18-second news brief on Tuesday's Nightly News, Wednesday's Today offered a full 2-minute report on agency chief Michele Leonhart stepping down in the wake of the controversy but used oddly positive language to describe her troubled tenure.

Correspondent Kristen Welker began the segment by noting:
"She was a rising star in federal law enforcement, but now Michele Leonhart is stepping down after revelations at least ten DEA agents had 'sex parties' in Colombia involving prostitutes."

Moments later, Welker highlighted Attorney General Eric Holder "calling her a 'trailblazer' for being the first woman named special agent in charge, and said, 'She has devoted her life and professional career to the defense of our nation.

This really isn't anything new -- take a shitbird and throw her under the bus, without actually enunciating the words. It's all politically correct crap designed to give the average DUmpmonkey the impression that it's all Sweetness and Light.

Leonhart ought to take the fall for her fellow shitbirds and simply fade away.

At least she had the temerity of going against Teh Wun regarding legalization of marijuana. Now if some of those high and mighty military officers were less enamored of the stars on their shoulders and a little more concerned about the gutting that Barry and his thugs are doing of the military, we just might have somebody who stands on principles.

Leonhart probably doesn't actually stand on principles, however. It sounds like she was forced out.

Never mind.  :-)

Wasn't she a a holdover from President Bush's administration?  I think I heard that on ABC radio news.

Director Pierson failed to advise the president exactly how far into the mansion this intruder had gotten, apparently preferring to keep him ignorant of the extensive security failures. For this and all of the other transgressions on her watch, she resigned on October 1, 2014.

At the risk of being called a "sexist" I'm seeing a pattern here.....

Leonhart served as acting administrator of the DEA from 2007 to 2010, when she was appointed by Obama as administrator and confirmed by the Senate.

Regardless of which party is doing it, using "Demographics" instead of qualifications, the result could be catastrophic.

Is this the lady that Obama touted as "being a positive influence on the agency" simply because she came to the job armed with a uterus?

I may have her confused with the gal from the Secret Service.
