Raising taxes on the wealthy is impossible.
raising the social security cap is impossible. doing anything about raising cap gains taxes, also impossible. Expanding Social Security is impossible. I mean it's just asking too much.
Or so I keep being told by DUers.
We shouldn't expect our politicians to advocate for these impossible things.
Politics is the art of the possible.
You know what is more unlikely than any of the above? A constitutional amendment that reverses the SCOTUS CU decision, but oddly enough, I hear people cheering that on.
A constitutional amendment takes 67 votes in the Senate and House and ratification by 34 states.
The likelihood of raising taxes on the wealthy or raising the CAP on Social Security is greater than the likelihood of a constitutional amendment, so how come the latter gets cheered on it's just childish pie in the sky to suggest that a candidate for President should propose and advocate for raising taxes on the wealthy?
Do explain that glaring contradiction.
Funny how leftists hate the wealthy. My job involves me going to very expensive areas of my city. As a result, I'm usually in alot of nice homes with nice vehicles in the driveway.
The point is, even though I live in a cheap apartment in a not so nice part of town. I don't hate these people. I talk to them and figure out how to get to that point myself.
How much is cali worth?
How much is cali worth? Not much.

I don't know about this 'hating' thing. Al least as it implies all of the rich.
Does cali hate the clintoons? It's like they have a whole money tree forest in thier back yard.
Does cali hate Soros? He's got more money than God! And he hasn't had to sell out any of his fellow Jews for decades.
It all sounds so implausible. I think the title should read "cali hates the wealthy Republicans, and suspected Republicans. And she luvs her some really rich demoncrats."
Speaking in the direction of inconsistency, double-standards, and hypocrisy, cali seemingly is an oxycontin addict, and DU folk seem OK with that. Rush is a recovered oxycontin addict, and he's scum because of that (among myriad other evidences of his scum-hood).
Losers look at the rich and ask "why?"
Winners look at the rich and ask "how?"
Here you go Cali - now you can pretend to be wealthy too, with this shiny new award !(http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/164/1/2/the_golden_earwig_award_by_minyassa-d53f2v1.png)

35. no one else is running as of yet
but even so, she's a shitty campaigner and a very poor candidate. risk averse, opportunistic, unprincipled, far too hawkish, about as Israel right or wrong as you can get. Defender of Nuttyyahu. for attacking Syria and training forces there. Corporate entanglements to gag on. Hell, even on abortion:
" I have said many times that I can support a ban on late-term abortions, including partial-birth abortions, so long as the health and life of the mother is protected."
http://www.ontheissues.org/Cabinet/Hillary_Clinton_Abortion.htm
Hey, maybe she's changed on that.
She always voted the right way in the Senate, but that kind of rhetoric is not helpful- particularly now when abortion rights have been so sharply diminished.
Hillary is a master at weasel words and obfuscating.
She is against raising taxes on the wealthy- raising taxes on capital gains or raising the SS cap. "Inclusive prosperity" is slowed down trickle down with a few attractive fig leaves.
She's the ultimate follow the poll pol.
**** that.
Miskie! Where did you find such a thing? Bookmark it.
I have a talent. I can find almost anything on the internet, usually in a matter of minutes. I can only suppose its because I've been on the internet longer than Google. (My first "internet provider" was UMass Dartmouth. They had a VAX that I would connect to via dialup through a terminal, and from there to a very young internet. - It was pretty much all text back then. ) .:old: :-)
