A middle school teacher is recovering in hospital in New York after being viciously assaulted by one of her student's mothers and the woman's 14-year-old niece.
The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon at Alverta B. Gray Schultz Middle School in Hempstead.
Police say the parent, Annika McKenzie, 34, walked into the building without being cleared by security and waited in the hallway for her daughter's math teacher, Catherine Engelhardt.
What kind of examples does Annika McKenzie set for her children. No wonder why we are so screwed. Having children does not make one mature.

Unless the lady teacher dies of this attack or is severely disabled, I doubt this insult-to-female-dogs will spend as much as 10 years in prison. IMO, she should never draw another free breath in her life. Her 14YO niece, who evidently participated in the attack, should not draw a free breath until she is past the age of having children. And the daughter of this insult-to-female-dogs should do 5-10 for her lies that precipitated the attack.
As for the sort of example this insult-to-female-dogs has been setting for her daughter, I think her daughter's lie that precipitated the assault - probably due to an "F" on a Math test - and the insult-to-female-dogs' 14YO niece joining in the assault answers your rhetorical question.

I'm reserving judgement on this. We don't know if this teacher punished a student for being Jewish, Christian, or Conservative.
Some of those teachers need a good beating.

It was a black woman that attacked the teacher. That being said, there is her claim of the kid saying that the teacher had "put hands on her". Will that claim be investigated? Still, it wouldn't justify attempted murder unless the teacher committed sexual assault.

Teachers get to be in the gunsights of a triad of unfriendly forces.
The students.
The parents.
The administration.
It's like they are hung out to dry in the breeze.
They cannot expect any support from any quarter(or triad in this case).

Actually, "It was a black woman that attacked the" white "teacher." My first, cynical, thought on reading the thread title was that the attacker was probably black and the teacher probably white. I hated being right! I wonder how many of the many, many, decent law-abiding black people in the US who do not make the evening news or newspapers - because decent, law-abiding people (of any color) aren't news - were similarly cynical and sad at being right in their cynicism.

As I posted above, I'm pretty sure this thugette's claim will prove to be entirely false or beyond grossly exaggerated. Now, if the investigators have to interview her in a hospital room (due to some action of the teacher), my cynical speculation will have been proved wrong. That said, there are right ways and wrong ways of handling such matters, and beating and strangling some one unconscious is a very wrong way - even if the 12YO girl were in the hospital (which I think very very very ... very extremely unlikely!).
Adding to what I posted above - something I forgot to post then - if I were a teacher, my ancestry being entirely European, I would refuse to teach at that school, and strongly consider a career change. I have some understanding of the passion many teachers have for what they can do in their profession, but our "family" culture, legal environment, and educratic cowardice and PCism have made teachers targets. It's gotten to the point where decent people's lives are being devastated through PC-shibboleths and teachers are being physically attacked. It's time for decent teachers to consider "shrugging" - for the sake of their families and their, literally, lives.

'Yes, I fear for my safety. They can't control the kids.'
This is becoming more common in the classroom.
I remember back in the early seventies reading about a lawsuit against Nuns for administering "corporal punishment" to students. My immediate thought back then was, "this signals a major breakdown in discipline in schools". It has come to pass.

It was the breakdown of families and discipline that has caused the most problems for society. Both are the fault of liberals.
