A FOX News camera captured the Rev. Jesse Jackson uttering the N-word while he was preparing to tape an interview earlier this month, a word he has denounced publicly as degrading to African Americans.
On Wednesday, FOX News’ host Bill O’Reilly revealed the details of Jackson’s appearance on tape, saying that he wanted to lay to rest reports based on news leaks.
Appearing on “Studio B With Shepard Smith,†Smith asked O’Reilly if Jackson’s remarks included the N-word, as some news reports had indicated.
“Yeah. And it’s trash talking,†O’Reilly said.
Jackson has been vocally critical of others’ use of the N-word, saying it is hurtful to the black community, whether it is used by blacks or whites.

Can Jesse boycott himself now?

Can Jesse boycott himself now?
Yeah, but the whole mechanics of shaking yourself down for reparations and then paying reparations to yourself after being shaken down gets kinda unwieldy pretty quick.
Not to mention the whole marching around yourself with picket signs thing...

Don't forget he's got Shakedown (Al) Sharptooth to help him out with that.

so who was he calling the N word? Obama or the black community? That conversation could have gone two ways.
1. Obama, that N**** better stop blah, blah, blah
2. Obama better stop talking down to the N******
Think about it.
Bets on how long before it's all leaked?

hyp·o·crite Pronunciation[hip-uh-krit]
–noun
1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.
... but we already knew that ...

:banghead:
I was afraid this was what he said. I don't buy the argument for a minute that the word "******" is okay for some people to use, but worse than killing someone if others do. It IS, IMO, an offensive word that should be discouraged, but I'm tired of hearing it called the "n-word". Babytalk like that is so politically correct and self-righteous.

I don't guess I really thought that one through, did I? :-)

How about resigning from his self-appointed King of Moral Authority for the Black Community position?

Actually, Sharpton seems pissed at Jackson right now.
Sharpton 'Very Disappointed' With Jesse Jackson
Civil Rights Leader: Public Figures Need To Be 'Consistent'
NEW YORK (CBS) ― Rev. Al Sharpton spoke out Thursday against Rev. Jesse Jackson's use of the N-word that was caught on tape while preparing for an interview for Fox News.
Sharpton, who has joined Jackson in opposition of the word, said on CBS News' The Early Show on Thursday that he was "very disappointed" by this latest revelation.
"I think this certainly does not reflect the Reverend Jackson that we all know and love," Sharpton said. "I think that we have to be consistent. We have denounced the N-word at National Action Network and other groups. Those of us and many of us who have used it privately said we must refrain from it if we're going to challenge people using it publicly."
Sharpton agreed that public figures especially need to be role models for others in expunging the word from today's culture.
"Once we take this public position we have that responsibility. I've said and many of those in other groups, NAACP and others, that we've all used it in the past. And we've got to stop it as we challenge this nation," he said.

Of course. He can't burn any bridges. It's the political way of calling someone a dumb-shit while still staying their friend.

You have much to learn, young Padwan. Much to learn. "Seeming" pissed and actually "being" pissed are two different things when talking about the bigot Al Sharpton.

Hannity and Colmes are on. They are talking about the meltdown in The Spew (View) today. Showed a clip of Whoopi telling token conservative Elisabeth (bless her heart) that it's basically okay for blacks to use the N word because they are "taking it back and owning it". Lots of debate flying back and forth.
Hannity's panel made a lot of good points. Colmes is such a useless tool. Why do they even have him?
Anyway, Colmes was trying to defend Whoopi's rationalization by saying "can't you change the meaning of that word?" "Isn't Whoopi right?"
The guy on the panel said, "if you really believed that Alan you would have used the word just now and you didn't." :fuelfire:
Hannity and his panel are schooling Colmes. Again. :-)

I watched that, Sherry tried to tell Barbara that black people in her (Sherry's) family used it as a term of endearment, When Barbara opened her mouth to ask if she used the N word.....Sherry cut her off mid-sentence with "I don't wanna hear it comin outta your mouth"
Well, I thinks to myself, if they have'nt anymore respect for each other than to call each other the N word, then I won't worry about respecting them anymore either. Must be that the N word isn't half as bad as they've been trying to tell us it was!
Bullshit on one race of people telling another race of people what language they can or cannot use. Fcuk that!

Colmes is so pathetic that I almost feel protective of him. He is like a little boy trying to speak out in a room full of adults. What is really sad is that more than half the time I don't think he believes half the stuff he tries to defend and that is why he comes across so lame.

I have always kind of like Sharpton, in that "Flavor Flav" kind of way. I think he missed his calling, he should have had his own reality show.

His skit on Saturday Night Live with Brian Fellow's Safari Planet made me howl! :rotf:
