But the give away to his suicide was the bundle of white helium balloons, with the gun still attached, found snagged on bushes and cactus near Mr Hickman's body.

I guess he did it so the widow would get the insurance? It doesn't give a motive but that has to be the reason.

What an idiot. And now his family has to live with it.
