One of the few times the DU really let me down [View all]

Last night I was so full of PRIDE that my union alone was a target of Fox News for donating over 65 million $ to Democrats, women's reproductive rights, etc.
As of now 348 views and just 6 R's.
It is a Fox News story, but it is LBN worthy!
I've made lots of enemies for who I am on the DU. People alert on me for what I am. I can't change my spots. On the other hand Friday some DUer alerted on me and I won the jury 7-0 over an actual offer to help a DUer with her rent problems.
I have several posts lined up for today like most days. Make no mistake about it, I'm terminal and don't need DUers picking at me all the time. I do expect support from my friends.
Get your ass to LBN and show this post the respect it deserves. The Cavers and friends are watching.
This post alone will tell me if it is time to ride off in the sunset in a new direction away from the DU. It means that much to me.

From the story: But the vast campaign AFSCME spending, the federal reports show, was overshadowed by tens of millions of dollars in contributions to progressive advocacy groups including Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the Center for American Progress and National Council of La Raza, the Illegal immigrant advocacy group.

Last night I was so full of PRIDE
Dude reminds me of a song, the Single Note Samba ... Me, Me, Me, :whistling: Me, Me, Me, :whistling: Me, Me, Me ...
I've left a few discussion forums since 1997, learned - mainly by watching others' fails - that dramatic exits and threats to exit are far more likely to garner ridicule or "Whatever!" than sympathy or "No! Please don't!" responses.
If OS wants replies to his posts, coach franksolich has spelled out how in detail.
But, like all the other DUmmies he refuses to take coach franksolich's advice.
OS, we are ALL terminal. Some of us have a better idea than others when the exit will be, but exit we all will.
Having a prognosis of impending departure makes you special how?

At least once a week, like clockwork.:-)

How many times has he threatened to leave DU?

117. I like you OS your posts are usually relevant to me as a union member HOWEVER
don't expect me to 100% to agree with you but definitely don't use the terminal crap to make me feel obligated.
I know you are terminal and that sucks and I am sorry BUT
Cron's disease isn't any more joyful of a situation to be in. Most times I feel like shit and when I am not shitting, or cramping so bad you swear there is a boulder in your colon causing such pain or that the flare ups are so bad that they squeeze together and make other parts not work right thus causing pancreatitis requiring a minimum 5 days in special wing of the hospital (CU) Then the rounds of Chemo every 5 weeks.
What I am trying to say...we all have issues and while your disease has given you a more clear idea of how long you might have, we are all dying some of us sooner than others and sometimes life just sucks.
I have so many things I want to do but the fatigue makes it impossible but to even turn on the computer at times. So please don't be angry but just because you are terminal, doesn't mean I am going to jump for you. I have my own problems and in my opinion they are just as serious. When I am in the hospital every couple of months due to pancreatitis for 5-7 days or in the hospital over night for pain management control because the lortab and oxy cocktail can't keep the pain from exploding making life just not worth living.
sometimes just having someone be condescending and selfish makes me thing why should I ...I may not be terminal at this minute but my disease is going to shorten my life significantly I don't use that to make others feel guilty for not posting on my threads.

You would think that after 5 years of being insufferable about her disease, that she could at least spell the name of her malady correctly.
It's Crohn's disease, not Cron's disease . OTOH, maybe she means old crone disease.

DUmmies lie all the time, so it's very unlikely the Big Guy has some specific terminal diagnosis.
What I figure is the doctor told him, "Hey, Steve, if you keep eating like a pig, you're going to die."
Just that, nothing more.(http://i1100.photobucket.com/albums/g419/Eferrari/april2015/cas01_zpsyespxb7q.jpg) (http://s1100.photobucket.com/user/Eferrari/media/april2015/cas01_zpsyespxb7q.jpg.html)

How can a sad needy piece of crap like OS have such a grotesque ego.
There's already holes in his story.
I was up all night, and so am posting while memory-impaired (feel sorry for me, folks!), but one hole that stands out at the moment is the pending operation for his carpal tunnel.
Why would surgeons waste their time trying to heal carpal tunnel if one's terminal?
It'd be like a dentist putting new teeth crowns in a 97-year-old individual.
"Maybe you're better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller."~Barack Obama http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jun/25/nation/na-health25
Good point. Wouldn't OS be one of those people Obama would tell to take some pills and wait to die?
~Barack Obama http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jun/25/nation/na-health25
Actually, if I remember the video conversation he had with the woman worried about her mom, he said "take a pill". What kind of pill would and old person need only one of?
If I were really dying, I would have better things to do than to beg for attention on a left-wing website. I might want to go do that flying thing, or go to a beach, or learn a new skill I always wanted to learn. Something.
Obama Steve is bad at DU, yet this is how he wants to spend his final days (years)?
