Quote
Sarah Brady, a longtime advocate against gun violence, has died at the age of 73, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence announced Friday.

Brady was chairperson of the corporation and died on Friday, according to the organization based in Washington. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim Brady, the former White House press secretary.

Even though I never agreed on her gun control policies or anything else for that matter, may she find peace.

USA Today's article title - which, appropriately, IMO is the title of this thread - is rather dishonest. Sarah Brady was an anti-gun activist, pure and simple. If this country is lucky, her organization will consume itself in internal power struggles and strife.

I've never understood "rest in peace", other than some sort of vague kind sentiment. I hope her family finds comfort and peace. It's not been a year since James Brady died, so they've suffered a double loss within a relative short time span.

Condolences to the family, but the Brady Foundation can take a long walk on a short pier.

Just a point of order. She was never an anti-violence activist. Ms Brady was an anti-constitutionalist.
Her goal was to prevent the law abiding from ever owning a gun.
In her life she, never lowered the crime rate or addressed true sources of violence: Crime.
Like all gun grabbers, she was against the 2nd amendment Freedom guaranteed to us all.

What will always be sad is the way she would push James Brady around in a wheelchair as a human prop. We have no idea if this is what he wanted.
*** Liberals will shamelessly use any human tragedy to further their agenda.

73 seems awfully young.
Especially for a woman.
The life expectancy for a woman in this country, the last time I checked was 78.
When you factor out all women less than 70, the life expectancy for a 70 year old goes up to 90 or so.
I wonder why so young.

FWIW, per Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Brady) she died of pneumonia. Unless she had the bad luck of accidentally catching a severely antibiotic-resistant strain, I suspect either the pneumonia or her dying of it (or both) was the consequence of some other serious health problem.

When a lib dies early I suspect self induced causes.

I do seem to remember that she was quite a smoker, and had lung cancer not too long ago.
