RR Churches Are Businesses Selling Pseudo Salvation. They Are NOT Religions.

The GOP has become pseudo religious party dominated by false religious PACS profiting from selling salvation for a profit. They are NON non profit religions as they claim. And they have infiltrated the body politic and are determined to undermine democratic government and replace it with a one party dictatorship dominated by oligarchs and big business.

They are as far removed from any semblance of religion. That makes churches and the preacher shills fair game for criticism and retribution. The pseudo religious right has no place in the design of public policy.

1. These churches worship Paul, not Jesus. Paul contradicted Jesus so many times

Paul was Christianities first fundamentalist and religious whack job. Too many times the words he said went against what Jesus told us. And to many religious fundies today base their faith on the words of Paul. I'm starting to think perhaps Paul was the first Anti-Christ. Jesus said it would be someone who walked amongst us saying that he 'knew Jesus' and would gather followers in Christ's name.

Have either of those two spent 5 minutes inside an Evangelical church? Does Lynne know the difference between an Evangelical and a Fundamentalist? Have either of them bothered to read one of the Gospels - Matthew would be "best" for them since it has the Sermon on the Mount, which they imagine best suited to their POV :whistling: - plus either Romans or 1 Corinthians (probably the two Pauline Epistles they would most dislike).

At least many/most Cafeteria "Christians" have actually walked into the Cafeteria, IYKWIM.

Primitives discussing the Bible is akin to termites discussing concrete.
Neither has a clue what to do with it,will never even attempt to digest it and are angry that it stands in their way.

Poor argument by Bob.

He doesn't have a leg to stand on.

I have no idea what he's talking about.
The practice of selling salvation was discontinued centuries ago.
No church today sells it or promises it aside from what Jesus said about it.

Progressives want instant gratification.

They expect that from religion too.  They don't understand that just because you pray about something...or go to church to hear His word...what your looking for doesn't happen automatically.

Bob sees money go in the offering plate...donations given to expand a church building or to fund a mission trip and nothing immediately given back form God in return.

Therefore he believes that the lack of instant religious gratification "makes churches and the preacher shills fair game for criticism and retribution."

I think that churches really are NOT religions, but rather they are bulidings that people use for various forms of worship in their religions.

It is rare that I agree with a DUmmy, but it happens from time to time.

Bob is just a rapidly-going-senile doddering old idiot, nothing more than that.

He's also a, uh, lapsed Catholic.

I dunno what it is, but it seems primitives who're lapsed Catholics are more bitter, angry, hate-filled--Ms. Hindenberg, the defrocked warped primitive, for example, or Anne, the dysmenopausal Kansas schoolteacher--than primitives who're lapsed Presbyterians, lapsed Baptists, lapsed Methodists, lapsed Buddhists, whatnot.

The primitives in general are notorious for their hate, but if one encounters one who hates with a vigor and a passion that's almost superhuman, it's likely the primitive's a lapsed Catholic.

I dunno why that is, but it is.
