Oh my.
Well, yeah, I suppose it's all fine and good, that one appreciates a good physician, but I'm left wondering why Big Mo isn't expressing any concern for her good pal Skippy, who goes under the knife in less than 12 hours.
Maybe because she, unlike us, doesn't really care?

do you have a doc that treats your pain?
today is the day to let them know you appreciate their care-

2. fibro. and creeping arthritis, especially my spine.
this guy is THE most responsive doc i have. send him and email, and he will likely respond in less than half an hour. sometimes faster.
he never judges.
i have overheard him thanking staff for good work.
he hounds insurance companies and pharmacies.
he works with your other docs.
he wants to you to feel better.
if there is a med you want to try, he will write it.
and he LISTENS. he is not about what he thinks you need. he takes the time to find out what you think you need.
in short, he CARES.
(not too hard on the eyes, either. lol. what blue eyes he has.)

4. not just a keeper, a sharer.
i have steered a couple friends to him, and they are equally in love.
i'm doing ok. the fatigue is more crippling to me than the pain. if only i could sleep worth a shit.
hope you have a good doc, too.

5. Uh, the fatigue, UH.
I have a decent doc, not a jerk at least. Does the job without having an arrogant god-syndrome.

9. I just got a new rheumie last month. He seems pretty nice
My previous Dr was very impersonal and commanded me around.
I don't get anything prescribed for pain anymore, besides a rare muscle relaxer. I am however self medicating with cannabis and it's working wonders with my peripheral neuropathy, muscle pain and other issues.

Mo the Crazy Chicken Witch found a doctor who will prescribe narcotics, no questions asked.
Plus, he takes eggs in trade!

That washes away all the nutrition!

Pretty much sums it all up.

When you are on the front lines of chronic and traumatic health, you develop an eye for spotting the pain med abusers on the spot.
If you have enough years under your belt in that industry, you lose all your misdirected sympathy for patients who are drug seekers.
I haven't been in it that long, but all my colleagues who have can spot it right away.

I know for one thing, they won't accept any kind of other treatment...such as epidurals. I know someone who was dropped by a pain mgmt doctor because he would not take an epidural treatment.

Among DUmp democrats that's the definition of a good doctor.
