I saw the story about the Boston cop that was in a coma after being shot in the face.

It was a simple traffic stop. He was white and the shooter was black. I just knew that the DU would be all over this story putting the shooter down because to do otherwise would be hypocritical of them.

Police officer wounded, suspect killed in Boston shootout

BOSTON (AP) — A suspect in a motor vehicle stop opened fire on police on Friday evening and seriously wounded an officer before being killed by other officers at the scene, authorities said. An apparent bystander also was shot.
The wounded officer was shot just below his right eye and was in critical condition in an induced coma fighting for his life at a hospital, police Commissioner William Evans said.
Other officers returned fire and killed the suspect at the scene, Evans said. A woman at the scene suffered a flesh wound to her right arm and was in good spirits, and three other officers were taken to a hospital with stress-related problems, he said.
The names of the officers, the suspect and the wounded woman weren't immediately released.

Did you notice there was no mention of the races of the parties involved? Strange since they are so caught up in race over there.

1. Suicide by cop.
In Fond Du Lac, a guy did that, robbed at least 2 banks and killed a civilian before he shot and killed a state cop but the other cops returned fire and killed the white supremacist.
Oh. Here's a post talking about race. Not related to this story, but what does that matter if we can talk about a white supremacist?

I was surprised to see a few posts like the above since the default mode for DUers appear to be cop-hate.

9. Most departments have a policy for police involved in shootings to get a check up.
It allows time to elapse from the shooting for the officer to calm down before they get interviewed. This is different than how a regular citizen would be treated - they get dragged right into interrogation.
Of course cops get special treatment.

I believe this was one of the cops who assisted in capturing the Marathon bombers. I think that makes this more than just a local story. What it is, is a story that didn't fit with the moderator's narrative so he killed the thread.
