Title: Graphics card + Monitor question.
Post by: thundley4 on March 23, 2015, 01:06:20 PM
I have a graphics card with a DVI-D connection and a monitor with a DVI-I conncetion.

I know the DVI-D means a digital signal only and the DVI-I carries both analog and digital signals. Can I use a DVI-D cable to connect the monitor to computer?

I've tried looking online and only get more confused by the answers I find.  :banghead:

Yes, it works. Decided to go buy a cable and try it. Damn, cheapest one I could find was $30 at Radio Shack.

Have you ever checked reviews or comparisons of standard cables versus the "high end" cables?  Most of them aren't worth the extra money?  :-)
