Senator McConnell to Fifty Governors in Letter: Ignore Federal Law

<pic of John C. Calhoun (D - SC)>

Republicans can't seem to get enough of writing letters telling others why they should ignore Federal laws or procedures.

Thursday, Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) sent a letter to all fifty state governors telling them the Environmental Protection Agency was involved in a "power grab" in enforcing clean air regulations designed to reduce carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants.

...

There is only one extremist here, Senator McConnell. Hint: it is not President Obama or President Nixon's EPA. The whole letter is a fascinating study in dissembling and obfuscation. It is practically a call to secession.

5. Senator McConnell is eligible for the Sedition Act, so prosecute his sorry self.

6. Unintended Consequences?

At the first sign that a state has ignored or violated the law the feds should begin withholding federal aid to that state. Then watch them howl.

7. Until the Federal government lock up one of these ReTHUG scumbags

the call to secession will continue.
The Feds need to start by cutting funding to any state that follows this illegal order.

11. And precisely what will the Obama Administration do about this?

The Proglodytes seem real determined to learn the limits of federal power.

Is the Sedition Act Libs' and Progs' newly discovered trump card to supplement the well-worn Race and Gender Cards?

They applaud Obama's disregard of the written law.

While the reflex is to call them on their hypocrisy I sit him grinning with mild bemusement.

Disregard for the structures of authority ultimately play into the ideal that centralized authority is a bad thing.

They ignore us, we ignore them.

Oh. Wait. That's kinda what we've wanted all along.

The same Sedition Act that was repealed in 1920?

DUmmies are, once again, the punch line of their own joke.

Even Wikipedia says that.

Lock them up for what, Dummie? Anything a senator says/writes while the senate is in session is exempt from prosecution.   If it wasn't, harry reid would be in civil court on several slander torts.  Oh and BTW... the president cannot cut off funding for any state or anything else for that matter.  Funding is under the purview of congress entirely. Once the president signs a budget, his function is pretty much finished.  Just in case you didn't know dummie, and it sounds like you don't, "the feds" consist of more than just the executive branch.

Maybe Barry repealed the repeal with an executive action or his phone or his pen?

In that case, said state should withhold ALL Federal payments, including FICA, Federal highway fuel taxes, Federal income taxes, everything that gets paid to Washington, DC.

And they are SOOOOOOOOO GOOD at it.

King Midas had the "golden touch".
King Barry has the "fecal touch".  (Which would explain Moochelle, since she either looks pissed off, or like ****!)   :rotf:

That's how they met. Young Barry's friends bet him $5 he couldn't pick her up by the clean end- and the rest is history.

He's still trying to find the clean end.

Did he win the $5?   :rotf:
