enjoying my trader joe's bounty
honey goat cheese spread on honey wheat bread and cheddar on their savory crisps. the goat cheese is absolutely to die for, omg. sweet and creamy and spreadable. i have a hairbrained idea of putting it on the crumpets i picked up with a bit of their cherry preserves.
we picked up some snacks - green pea crisps, a dark chocolate bar and some roasted almonds and a few convenience items - roasted peppers and minced garlic, plus amazingly priced sesame oil and a can of coffee. but it was the frozen section where i went nuts. i got bibimbap and veggie pad thai bowls, mandarin orange chicken and chicken dumplings. i passed on the gyoza sauce and will just dip them in a soy and sesame oil mixture. husband had wanted some coconut oil, but they were out.
the husband went with a bibimbap bowl and it was pretty damned tasty with a nice level of spiciness.
but that cheese, guys, i just can't get over how good it is.
i didn't get to spend as much time there as i wanted to because the husband came with me, but i'm not going to complain because it's the first time he's gone shopping with me in at least six months.
the produce looked just as good as it does at my kroger store and some of it was more reasonably priced.
i can't wait to get back.

3. Be sure to get the one with the elbows
They have one that is shell pasta, that one won't convince a Kraft purist in my experience

4. I love that cheese!
And I bought Sesame oil just yesterday, 1.29!!
The herbed goat cheese is really good with roasted veggies, sandwich or salad, yum

Kraft recently had a big recall. :whistling:

So what's wrong with just plain ol' Holstein cow cheese?
Other than the fact it's about 1/4th the price of goat cheese.
I'll bet you could take a block of Kraft cheddar, mix it with whatever to make "herbed", "honey", or "whatthehell" cheese, call it "goat cheese", and DUmmie fizzyditz wouldn't know the difference. :rotf:

Back to manic.

Make it from soybeans and call it organic goat cheese....DUmmies would be crazy about.

Hell, fizzy would eat a billy goat's fumunda cheese if Trader Joe's sold it.

Back to manic.
Rapidly approaching depressive.

Gotta hijack this thread--my beautiful wife made some spare ribs in the crock pot yesterday, with ketchup, honey, and the McCormack's Barbeque Spare Ribs spice pack. She got the recipe from a co-worker.
Awesome. Before she could ask me "Should I do this again," I told her "Do this again at the very first opportunity you get!" It smelled sooooo good as the crock pot was cooking . . . and tasted better!
End of hijack.

When I first saw this thread title, I thought it was going to be about Hitlery.
