11. No commercials?
Since when. Ever since Bush and the GOP took over the board of directors, NPR is chock full of "commercials." They might call them something different, like "sponsorship moments" or some other lame thing, but NPR is very GOP, and very full of commercials. I stopped listening to them as a news source long ago, although I still enjoy the local programming and stuff like "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me."

15. The fact that some attack NPR as being conservative
shows how far to the left they are from the mainstream Democratic Party.

Click and the former Clack was the only thing listenable on that station.

McGrath just can`t stop being an idiot can he?
No wonder he can`t get any useful employment.

Yeah, that plus that he buys his suits off the "seconds" rack in Filene's basement.
I swear, he and Skippy are tied for first place in "the worst-dressed primitives" in the Country Club set on Skins's island.

I don't have nearly as much of a problem with their content as I do with the sleep-inducing monotone drone of their newsreaders. Having NPR on the radio while driving is a bad idea.

And shot down by Atman no less.

Why am I not surprised?
Poundstone began serving as a foster parent in the 1990s, fostering eight children and eventually adopting two daughters and a son.[4][8][9] In October 2001, Poundstone was found guilty of felony child endangerment in connection with driving while intoxicated with children in the car. She was charged with lewd acts upon a child under 14, and reached a plea agreement for probation and community service.[10]
Poundstone has talked about her personal responsibility for the events that led to her arrest, and the steps she has taken, including a 6 month treatment program for alcoholism. Poundstone, who speaks about her private life in her standup comedy performances and on the NPR radio show Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me, has revealed that she is an atheist and has 16 cats.

an atheist and has 16 cats.
Describes a fair number of DUmmies.

So, Paula Poundstone is a cross dressing, drunken, child molesting lesbian, atheist, cat lady, and alleged comedienne.
What's not to laugh at?
Edited to add 'lesbian'

Lucky for her she's a lesbian, because with a resume like that the only guy she could attract would be one on the level of Charlie Manson.

NPR tried to torpedo Juan Williams for saying what just about every other American has thought...

If a lib is insulted by a dissenting point of view, they don't just agree to disagree...they destroy.
Or at the very least they try to.

I'm really conservative and listen to NPR for two reasons. First, it's what I can most often get on the radio. Second, it's good to know how stories are being spinned. Although I find the general news channels are even more opinion-based than even NPR.

I listen to NPR. If I'm going to be forced to pay for it, I'm going to use it.
It's also good show prep.

I used to listen to NPR, especially on the weekend but not I have such a wide variety of free podcasts I don't.
