So we gave them the Senate. Now they're still giving Obama a pass on executive amnesty and appear ready to allow Net Neutrality go unchallenged as well.
These are issues where public opinion would easily win them the political fight which leads me to believe Boehner and McConnell WANT these policies as much as Obama does.
Remind me again why I'm registered Republican.

Because you like getting kissed when you're getting raped up the ol' you-know-what.

Having a majority but less than 60 seats in the Senate does not give you control of it, what it does do is allow you to control what legislation is docketed. The other side can still shitcan it with a filibuster (Or technically a cloture vote) unless you have 60 votes.

I can't wait till the GOP senate invokes the nuclear option like the libs did when they were in charge.

Until the Republicans grow a spine and fight for conservative causes I'm done voting for any of their candidates and will be voting 3rd party true conservatives only.

It doesn't take 60 to NOT fund DHS.
It doesn't take 60 votes to put the FCC in the same boat.

I was under the impression that only tax legislation required 60 Senate votes. So far, the Senate Repubs has done a piss poor job and am wondering how many pieces of legislation they will send to the President for his veto before his term expires. The House has not done any better the last couple of years either; they hold the purse strings but are too chicken shit to defund Obamacare, welfare, etc. All we get is a lot of hot air around election time.

Mitch McConnell is not as smart as Dirty Harry. :lmao:

If the senate passes the "clean" bill and sends it to the house, the house can add amendments to that bill and send it back to the senate. If that happens, then only 51 votes are needed to pass it in the senate.
That is why Harry "the pederast" Reid wants a clean bill from the house to vote on. Democrats are putting illegal immigrants ahead of national security.

It'll never happen. The floppy-eared pellet dropper's initial assertion is correct: "Boehner and McConnell WANT these policies as much as Obama does." They see it as an important (to them) counter to the TEA Party voting block, which is dropping Establishment Cocksuckers like bad habits in many of the primaries they're challenged in. Add to that the demands for a cheap labor force by the corrupt bastards in the Chamber of Commerce, and they have to make this amnesty stick, in their minds.

Ditto.
