Survey finds high rates of anti-Semitism on college campuses
More than half of 1,157 Jewish students surveyed at 55 college campuses in the U.S. reported being subjected to or witnessing anti-Semitism at their schools, according to a new study conducted by Trinity College and the Louis D. Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under Law.
The report, titled The National Demographic Survey of American Jewish College Students, was conducted in the spring of 2014 by a research team from Trinity College in Connecticut. The rates of victimization ranged depending on the campus, major, religiosity and other factors.
The survey was conducted in March and April 2014.
In the South, 70 percent of Jewish college students surveyed reported anti-Semitism at public schools, while 48 percent reported incidents at private schools. Still, the overall rates showed only a slight variation according to region, the report said, suggesting anti-Semitism is a nationwide problem.

I experienced it at the university I attended, and the ones where I worked. I was the "victim" at all three universities, but I was more 'victimized' for being gay, than Jewish.

1. I am surprised, i would have thought it would be lower in the younger people
Very sad and disturbing.

2. I am not.
From things I have seen, it is likely one of the groups where it will continue to rise.

4. That's my impression, too.
It's getting worse. Hopefully, it will turn out to be a matter of young people questioning the values of earlier generations and eventually they'll come around. I know I experimented with some ideas as a young adult that I later rejected when I had more education and life experience.

6. Not surprised at all
With even people here, on this board, seemingly unable to separate the Israeli Jews from all Jews, what do you expect? If anyone here said it was understandable that Muslims everywhere were held to account for the actions of Saudi Arabia or Syria, others would burn the place down.

When I was in college, I had a group of friends from all over the country. We did a lot of things together, drinking, dating, etc.. Two of them were Jewish and I didn't even know it for 3 or 4 months after getting to know them. I didn't ask what religion they were and they didn't say. One day, I don't know if it was something I said or what but one of them stated, "You know we're Jewish don't you?" I said, "No." The other one said, "Well, we are." I said, "So." There was a few seconds of silence and things went back to the same as always. The subject never came up again.
Reminds me of Cramer and the "anti dentite" bit.

While there is undoubtedly some truth to it, owing in no small part to the increased presence and activism of Muslims on our campuses, it's also important to remember this is 'As reported by' Jewish members of a student generation raised on the culture of victimhood about race, ethnicity, religion, immigration status, and every other damn' thing you could imagine to split off identity groups. Apparently the perception persecution and the attention that goes with it is perversely empowering for people, as the endless stream of noose hoaxes and things of that sort attest.

It's real enough - college campus anti-Semitism, at least. On some college campuses (San Francisco State comes to mind) it can be hazardous to walk across a commons area wearing a yarmulke. If DU-folk are unaware of this, I have to wonder where they've hidden their heads (high hanging fast ball!). Israel has been a world-wide bogeyman in academia for decades, and Pali Arabs one the highest of high PC minorities. Why the surprise that anti-Semitism has been poking out its ugly head on ultra-liberal college campuses ... for a decade or two? Can't DU-folk recognize the utter predictability of the outcomes of their PC-Chic shibboleths?

Far Left & Left have "MAJOR" issues with Israel (The Tiny Jewish State) and thus anyone even loosely associated with it.

On just about any college campus in the US, a pro-Palestine demonstration will draw more people than a pro-Israel rally. It can almost be guaranteed that the rally for Israel will see violent protests against it.

Almost none of them bother to read their own swill.
The left is as anti Semitic as there can be.

Wasn't there a youtube video of a guy on a liberal college campus waving a Jewish flag who got harrassed & then stood waving the ISIS flag and got the opposite response? Christians (even in the south) are Israel's biggest supporters. I'd like to see this survey. Most colleges, regardless of where they are, are full of lefties. They're the biggest anti-Semites in the country. Just look at the boy king and every leftists' support of Palestine while condemning Jews for existing. Hitler lives in every single one of them. Given the chance (and if they knew they wouldn't get hurt or killed), they'd be on the front lines with the Muslims wiping all of them out so Palestine could take over Israel.

Yet many Jewish students are among the biggest Lefties there are (Not all of them, of course). Go figure.

Yeah...I'll never get it.

Yeah...I'll never get it.
Many are waking up (At least the ones who giva s*it about Israel )

Most of the Muslim groups on college campuses have direct ties to the Muslim brotherhood.
I also think one of the colleges in Cali had a Hitler week.
-
And the folks celebrating "Hitler Week" were mostly Swarthy folks of middle eastern descent instead of Grandkids of Kluxers & Birchers ...
