Rudy Giuliani, Asshole of the Day for February 19, 2015
I think the real question is for Giuliani:
- Loves America how, Rudy? Like you do— only the white parts? The love that blames every black person for the crimes of a few black people, a standard you don’t hold white people to?
- Not brought up the way you were? To what— be racist? To trample people’s rights in the name of security?
Of course Giuliani isn’t going to answer questions like that. His statements are dog-whistles to his audience about how Obama isn’t like us, he’s an outsider. Obama is black, we get it. Never mind that Obama’s mother was every bit as white as Giuliani’s mother. Nope. Doesn’t matter to Giuliani. And for that, Giuliani is the Asshole of the Day.

Hell, all Rudy said is a statement of human nature. People DON'T try to change what they love. I love my kids, I don't want to make them any different than they are. I love my wife, I don't want to change her. I like my job (not necessarily love), I'd only change a few things, not "fundamentally transform" it.
