A couple things on 2-13-15 Friday the 13th, 2015

First I don't know how to say what all these hearts showing up under my name mean to me. The last couple months on the DU have been a little rocky for me. I didn't lose as many friends as I thought I had. For a couple hours Sunday I intended to stop posting over a pissing match. A couple DUers talked some sense into me. It is good to have so many close friends here.

Those that are still handing out hearts please give them to others, I've got more than any DUer could want.

Currently I'm fighting a very nasty cold. I have to be careful with most cold meds because of the Acetaminophen in them. I hope to feel good enough for our dinner out tomorrow night. And we are supposed to be watching my granddaughter Monday. I was planning on Sponge Bob with her.

We are taking one of the dogs to the vet when they open today. We don't know what is wrong. It started suddenly. I hope she comes home with us. More on this later today.

Marta got her car back. $50 out of pocket. The extended warranty covered everything else.

I've had better weeks.

Giant attention whore needs attention, please send hearts!

I look at my moles hearts as a joke on those stupid fools but it is creepy how adoring the true primitives are of them.
Especially when they are funding skins vacations.  :lmao:

Steve gave us a hint about the mysterious malady portending his departure from the land of the living:

Steve is hinting about an untreatable liver disease. Hepatitis is my guess, with alcoholic cirrhosis a good possibility too.

The big guy updated his original post, and responded to Big Dog here:

Quote
UPDATE starts here: Yesterday morning Sweetie was fine. Yesterday about noon I was letting our 3 dogs out. She came around the bar headed for the sliding door. She wasn't putting her left front leg down at all. When we rescued her almost 10 years ago to the day, that leg was broken and in a cast. By last night she was so out of sorts for her. She didn't want to move. She couldn't jump up to her place on the couch. She was doing a little whimpering like she was in pain from time to time.

This morning she went outside but didn't take care of any business. When Marta gets coffee she shares 1/2 & 1/2 with the 3 of them. She started doing that when sweetie came to live with us. It was good for her broken leg.

Once we parked at the vets, Marta got out of the car. Immediately Sweetie started showing animation and jumping around in the car. I was so relieved.

X-rays and blood work were fantastic. The vet thought she was younger based on the way she looked when he first saw her. BONUS. He was worried about the hunched look in her stance like she is in pain.

Anti-inflammatory and pain meds as needed.

Here is the post I made when Sweetie became the ASPCA rescue story of the week in 07: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x3581271 Unfortunatly the photo is dead.

On the way home we stopped at the bakery. I stayed in the car with Sweetie. Marta came out and said the lady in front of her with a toddler had her bank card rejected. Marta paid it forward in full. The lady behind the counter had a smile I could see from outside.

I've had few private questions about Sunday. ALL I will say is the the jury and the hosts BACKED ME!!!

The Acetaminophen isn't good for my liver. The liver is not the reason for my declining health.

So even though I feel like super crap from a cold, the good news from the vet made me feel better.

Here is the post from SUnday that he's all bent out of shape about, he deleted the OP, but you can get the gist of it.

7. Why should we trust an RT story?

It's a propaganda arm of the Russian government. I don't consider it a reliable news source at all.

8. Trust?

I used to listen to Rush just so I knew how to present a different point of view to his listeners later in the day at work. It was no fun.

11. Wow. 3-4

On Sun Feb 8, 2015, 02:42 PM an alert was sent on the following post:

Child or militant? 6th-grader killed in US drone strike in Yemen
http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017243581

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Too much advertising for RT and its various outlets in this OP. For me that is a reason to hide. Why push RT on DU? Just post the video. We don't need an ad for RT.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sun Feb 8, 2015, 03:05 PM, and the Jury voted 3-4 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Agree with alerter about this promoting RT
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Post your concerns in the thread or send Steve a pm. I'm not voting to hide this.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Quit complaining cuz you don't like the source being used. Refute what's posted if RT got it wrong. DU has lots of posters who know everything about everything. I'm sure one of them can refute the incorrect information.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: SO tired of Putin's propaganda polluting this site. Poster is attention seeking, IMO.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: That is one weak argument for hiding

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

Apparently having his post sent to a jury was very traumatic for the overgrown infant.

lol he must read here  :lmao:

Well, if he does, he needs to correct his chronology of events.

He was going to drive Marta to work on Friday because their other vehicle was in the shop, and then pick her up after work, when they'd also get the now-repaired vehicle.

Okay.

This Friday.

He and Marta take the pet to the veterinary.

The veterinary examines the pet, and apparently the news is good.

He and Marta, and the pet, on their way home, stop at a doughnut shop.

Okay.

Was all this done before the big guy finally took poor dear Marta to work, or what?

Yet he has spurned every bit of advice coach has generously given him over the years.
He could be a healthy, thriving member of local government but NOOOOOOOOOOOOO,all he is is a dying, nobody.

Take heed primitives,take heed.

That was my first thought too, Big Dog.  And his denial makes it that much more likely. What do you wanna bet the doc told him he had to quit drinking or he was going to be dead in a year or so?

Oh no!!

The Big Guy (who is dying) is already starting to waste away.

He's just skin and bones. More or less.

I'm not sure what his health issue is, but his shoes seem to indicate he has Diabetic Neuropathy foot issues. (Picture with dog in DU thread)

But who knows ? It might be he likes footwear with gigantic, cushy soles.

I find this suspicious.  BEG posted a video like that on Facebook, and I also saw the same video on the news later on.  Another DUmmie bouncie to gain street cred.

He has soft sausage fingers. It would take a lot of gold to go around one of them.

The Big Guy (who is dying) better hope Dummy Bouncy Balls doesn't read that post and sue for copyright infringement.

That's one of the oldest, lamest bouncies in the entire Dump repertoire.

I would be surprised if even the CalPig believes it.
