One might be tempted to speculate that the humble conservative "fatboy" might be somewhat challaged in the body mass index department. But actually this is not the case. Your beloved fatboy, standing 5 foot 5 and a half inches tall hits the scales at a scrappy 138 pounds.
But I digress, after all, this thread is not about me, it's about some lardbutt DUmmy named masmdu (MASS DU) who is going to put down the doughnuts and drop a cool 50. Not only that, masmdu is going to treat the DUmmies to status reports via a weekly weigh-in.

Weight Loss. Week 1- Start 207 lbs - goal 157 lbs.
So, I thought I'd do a weekly update on my weight loss attempt.
Today is the first day of week 1. I weigh in at 207 lbs. and I have been relatively sedentary but that will change from today.
Food: Green Juice or Smoothie for breakfast and lunch (kale, spinach, celery, apple, ginger, lime, lemon). Dinner will be salad, miso soup, lentils or seitan.
Snack: walnuts or almonds (no food beyond 7pm ish).
Exercise: 45 min./day- 5 days/week - 20 mins brisk treadmill, 15 mins. stationary bike (4mins of which will be Tabata style - fast for 20 sec / rest for 10), and 10 mins. free weights.
Also, I'll make sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night.
So far so good. I'll make a weekly update if anybody cares see how it's playing out.
Wish me luck! 157 here I come!
Allow the humble conservative fatboy to send out some good skinny vibes!

8. I'm doing it too.
Although I need to lose a lot more weight than you to get down to where the height/weight chart says I should be. My initial goal is to lose the weight I gained when I quit smoking- about 30 pounds.
This was my first day as well. I've done good so far. I'm going to have a big salad for dinner
Tobin S. "weighs in" on the matter. With an 18.5 inch neck, Tobin S. sets his sights a little lower and plans to drop 30. Kale will do it to ya.

10. Read every label - cut out anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup in it
I've lost 60lbs since August of last year
Lost 60, regained 120 for a net increase of 60! It's called Dummy math.

15. You can do it!
Keep us updated.
Yes, keep us updated.
One of my goals in this life (if I may steal the term) is to set up a George Foreman grill in the middle of a hunger strike and cook me up some deer meat.

DUmmie on a diet = foodstamps cut.

His plan would work for at least the first 25 or 30. Depends on the what his good intentions are paving. Maybe he should have posted this 3 or 4 months into doing it. When he's doing this sort of thing (http://runrocknroll.competitor.com/tour-stops) or a similar equivalent he might have potential for reaching and sustaining his goal.

The only time diet soda is in my glass is when the glass also contains some kind of Ky Bourbon. Even at that, only sometimes. I really love to drink classic coke and do so at least once a day.
A couple of the primitives actually make a good point about having nothing to eat after 7:00 PM. I would expand on that and say don't eat just because you have nothing else to do (a real problem for DUmmies because they always have nothing to do). Also, eat bread but don't over do it. Many times if I'm hungry but cannot find something to eat that really appeals to me I just put off eating.

Working out for 45 minutes a day from a sedentary start ?
That part of the plan will evaporate quickly.

Bourbon and diet soda?
That's just wrong.

I know but sometimes you just have to make due. Generally I consume it neat but you know.
BTW, a really nice sip that I just discovered is Bulleit 95 Rye. It's not Bourbon though.

I've heard a lot of good things about Bulleit Rye, but I can't find it here in Smallville. I'll pick up a bottle the next time I go to Metropolis.
