Well, once again the nutcase disappoints her fans.

Good news I will cover the demonstration for Ayotzinapa. Bad news, checking point and shoot and pen that writes in rain and pad that is designed for rain. No, I am not risking the expensive equipment in the middle of a storm. Sorry folks. Will be there, but not with the real expensive gear.

I was getting excited, but damn, she's not taking The Good Rig. So disappointing.

well took the rain gear, the water proof camera, and the water resistant notebook and pen that can write on wet surfaces. All we got was imaginary rain. But I looked at the radar, and we were surrounded by rain... now that was funny, in a way.
Yes I got some usable shots with the Tough 610. It is our to go camera for trips and rain... but I do miss the speed and all that of my professional rig
But her photos with The Good Rig come out as poorly framed and out-of-focus as a disposable.
Closing with a classic illiterate, incomprehensible nutcase nadin post. And she thinks mexico matters in the real world:

Well will write this in the morning, I think. Though there is a board of supers meeting... that I need to livestream. Suffice it to say, the story of ‪#‎Ayotzinapa‬ is not dead. I think this is truly, as I once wrote in ‪#‎reportingsandiego‬, the straw with a certain camel. We will continue to follow this. Also I need to add to the story a few notes from what we know that has happened in other places, like Tlataya.
The last one is starting to explode (again) in Mexico. But in the States this is rarely known off. There is also the Merida plan, which is the source of the proximal mess. And no, most people have no idea. It is just the way it is. So it falls to responsible press to do it.
I sure hope the nutcase returns to the DUmp soon.
Her Facebook is okay, but with no battles between Nadin and the bullies it lacks the pizzazz of the nutcase at the DUmp.

If she doesn't, I'm going to lose all the respect that I had for her.
Scaredy cat.

How I miss 'suffice it to say' followed by a long winded dissertation on a subject she knows nothing about. Ah, the good old days.

San Diego had maybe 35 minutes of scattered light rain on Monday, I guess that's the storm that she's talking about.

In case anyone was wondering what it is exactly she claims she was covering:
Marking four months since 43 students went missing in Mexico's Guerrero state, supporters demanded the students' return during mass demonstrations in Mexico and abroad.
Thousands of protesters attended marches across Mexico on Monday, according to local media, with many blaming the state for the students' disappearance. In Mexico City, protesters converged from four directions for a rally in Zócalo, the main square.

Now that march was just two days ago in Mexico
I tried to click on over to Nads story on this and and it's blocked on my computer...but from what I was able to cut and paste from the Google search you'll notice something interesting about an event she claims she just covered:
Students of City College in Support of Ayotzinapa ...
Nov 21, 2014 - Approximately 150 students from City College, San Diego State and civil groups, came, starting with a march at City College.
Notice anything odd in there? :whistling:
ETA: From the FB page supporting the SD rally:

Geez, she's only a couple of months behind and you give her grief. She's the almighty Girl Reporter! You can't expect her to pay attention to normal human concepts such as time.

I guess I should t be so hard on her...I mean after all with this story it appears she is vying for the coveted Jayson Blair Accuracy in Media Award.
That would be quite a feathering her cap.

Thanks for putting up the backstory, TRG, I figured that was probably what it was about, but didn't want to waste a lot of time Nadining it or looking it up on Nadinpedia.

*bows* that's what I'm here for :)
At first I thought that Ayotzinapa was some neighborhood newspaper or phony news "service" like RawStory so I looked it up. Then I found out what it was about and sure enough there was her...ahem..."article" on it with a three month old byline.
I wonder if any of the lurkers will call her on making something that old seem like it was just covered two days ago?

This story was on the news this morning...apparently the Mexican govt has finally confirmed the students' deaths...

You forget, she's probably operating on standard DUmmie time....24 business hour time.

The "To Go" Camera?
Maybe it came in a McD's Happy Meal.

It looks like her blog has fallen on hard times, she announced a couple months back that she was going to stop posting her stuff in spanish as they were getting zero page hits. Now this:

Well we need to keep begging, since we do independent journalism, which at times requires we buy research material Journalism is not cheap. Journalism done right can be expensive. We depend on you to keep us going folks.
Some of the things we have done in the recent past. Well, after we were told about the POA using inappropriate imagery, we asked. We also ran real risks running the Charlie Hebdo cartoons. We also continue to report on crime (and how it continues to drop) even if at times we will run local stories from local PD on actual crimes. We are aware that the 20 thousand feet view, it is indeed going down.
We spend the time with the materia. And when fire season comes (it is almost here) we will cover breaking news, and fires. We are ready for that, are you?

Found 'em. They're all spreading mulch in front of my dentist's office.

Oh geezuz.
She's trying to make this seem as a career, as a real thing, but really, it's just a hobby of hers.
And as with any other sort of hobby, one's compelled to spend one's own money on it.
It's not serious business; it's a hobby.

She's stopped translating her rubbish into mexican, except for one item.

I'm monolingual, but Ill bet her mexican grammar and sentence structure are as illiterate as her English.
She's making a fortune from the ads on her site.
Have you noticed all those ads? Oh.
She needs to go the stewert route.

Did she start her on site and leave the other one?

Yeah. Because while she may think it's a profession, it's actually only a hobby.
And hobbies, which are meant for personal gratification or illumination, cost one money.
I think it's high time the cousin admitted to herself, "this is just a hobby."

Some hobbies can turn into a profit making venture, but that involves having talent or ability. Her site is as bad as Wee Willy printing a pamphlet through a vanity press.

Now, wait a minute, though.
Cousin nadin and the Bostonian Drunkard recently inspired me.
If they're good enough to be vanity-published, maybe I am too.
For me, writing's always been a hobby.
So I've been working on two possible "books."
If I decide to vanity-publish one or both of them, I expect to have to put down some bucks. It's only a hobby, after all.

It wouldn't hurt to look into other means, though. There is also e-publishing .

Well, yeah, but DUmmy rsmithnumbers and CalPig are good enough to be vanity published.
It's kind of like paying someone to hit "Print".
Well, actually not "kind of like". That's exactly what it is.

..Maybe she is saving "The Good Rig" for a photographic essay on her stupendous accomplishments.
"Mexican Snipper - Stealthy Tales of a Combat Medic Ninja and Her Trusty Riffle From South of the Border." With foreword penned by Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Suffice it to say, the work will be "Pull it, sir." prize material.

Hi5! I couldnt stop laughing when I read this!
