This is not a real smart idea.
http://pcdcarry.com/

Fake guns and holsters for those to ignorant/afraid to bother to learn.

Has a direct link to an anti gun page.

Wait a moment... a fake gun in a holster?

PCD understands that not everyone is comfortable with owning an actual firearm. But why should those feelings affect your personal safety?
Now they no longer have to. With the launch of Perceived Carry Decoys, you may now give off the appearance that you are toting serious heat, while in actuality you have nothing more than a one piece device attached to your hip that is as harmless as a cell phone.

uh...

A PCD device is meant to be a means of crime deterrent, rather than a means of self defense. After all, who's going to run up on a person with a gun?

The concept of concealed carry is so that people don't know you are armed.

Disclaimer: Perceived Carry Devices are not intended to be used in emergencies. If you find yourself in a life threatening situation, first seek safety, then dial 911 as you should when carrying a real firearm.

11. Indeed, one of Fred's fellow gun control activists might attack them, a la Michael Foster

An attack that Fred endosed, btw:

"Should be tackling everyone with a gun wandering around..."

Fred Sanford wants to carry a fake concealed weapon, with the expectation that the print will be seen, and fake people out.

Kinda like when you roll up that sock and stick it your pants. Right, Fred?

Oh, Fred. Next time, put the sock in front.

I can see lots of pansy liberals being killed by cops while trying to explain it is not a real weapon.  :-)

Fred wants to be a fake gun humper. That is if he isn't one already.

9. On reflection, this is such a great idea I am buying these things for my whole family! Great OP.

Could anyone imagine for one moment being related to this wacko?

Yeah, this has 'bad idea' written all over it.

A genuine criminal is far more likely to try to take down a person with a fake open carry weapon before he/she can get that weapon out (The fake weapon can't be removed from the "holster" ) - and an officer is going to be pretty unhappy when the idiot can't drop the weapon without taking off his/her belt first.

If not for the bad effects on the cops, I'd hope they would try to immediately pull it out to show the cop it was a fake when stopped.

Who would admit being a relative of Freddie's in the first place?

What was the title of some soul song back in the '70s?

 "Freddie's Dead".

 That's what I said!   :rotf:

Speaking of guns......fake ones....

My smallest boy left his gun in my console.  You can only see it if you were in the passengers seat and the orange was hidden.  I am so happy that 1) my car wasn't broken into to get the fake gun and 2) a cop didn't pull me over and his partner saw it.

 :panic:

It looks like this (http://ioneglobalgrind.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/gp-302bh-m9.jpg)  So the tip of the barrel was hidden under some paper and just the back was sticking out in plain sight.

I have one of these, still.

I see this going as well as in the movie Snatch where the three black gentlemen confront Bullet Tooth Tony in a pub with their fake handguns....

Great film.

It ought to be real interesting when someone, like an Obamason tries to rob them of their "gun".

This could get a lot more criminals killed, too.  If they think you're carrying a toy gun they may just be bold enough to give it a shot.  Kind of like Russian Roulette, eh?
