Democrats stuck on stupid.
The U.S. Senate is expected to vote next week on new amendments to the Keystone XL Pipeline bill put forth by the Democrats, as well as one from Independent Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), which includes an acknowledgement that climate change is real and caused by humans.

Why does McConnell let it come up for a vote? Do like Reed has done in the past...NO, No ammendments on bills such as Obummercare. Repubs are the stupid ones.

The great thing about holding both houses is that you can strip out any stupid extraneous shit like this that one of them puts in during the conference committee process, so it never makes it to the final bill.

Which is why it's almost a smart move for Boehner and McConnell to have a more open process, than the partisan way that Pelosi and Reid used.

Has any R had the courage and minimal common sense to dial up the presidents of the various unions whose members would be working on the pipeline, to inform them of the Ds' assault on their members' jobs and future?

They don't need to. Most unions already support the pipeline.

My point was that Rs need to drive that wedge between the Ds and the unions, starting, but not stopping, with union leadership.
Turn the Enviro-agenda into an albatross around the D Party's collective neck.

Senate votes 98-1 that “climate change is not a hoaxâ€
The amendment was expected to fail, but Republicans parsed the words of the amendment, arguing they could vote for it but at the same time believe that climate change was not man-made.
The lone no vote was from Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi.
The amendment was designed in part as a jab at GOP Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma, who has questioned the science of climate change.
Inhofe voted for the measure, arguing that the true “hoax†is that climate change is the result of human activity.
“Climate is changing, and climate has always changed, and always will, there’s archeological evidence of that, there’s biblical evidence of that, there’s historic evidence of that, it will always change,†he said on the Senate floor. “The hoax is that there are some people that are so arrogant to think that they are so powerful that they can change climate. Man can’t change climate.â€
