Well, I'm calling the Democratic nomination for Hillary Clinton.
This is an early prediction. Time will tell if it is correct.
Here's my reasoning:
1. Elizabeth Warren has now said that she will not run. I believe her. She will remain as a vocal Senator, making sure her message is heard, loud and clear.
2. Bernie Sanders did not change parties before the new Congress was seated. That would have been the ideal time to do so. I take that to mean that he meant what he said when he said that he'd only run if he thought he could win. I believe that he does not thing he could win, so he will not change parties to run as a Democrat. He will remain as a strong voice for progressivism, too.
3. A number of other potential candidates have publicly voiced their support for Hillary Clinton. I take that to mean that they do not intend to run, but will support her candidacy in the primaries.
4. Some other Democrats might choose to run, but I can't think of any who have the potential to defeat Hillary Clinton in most primary elections. If they cannot, the Democratic National Convention will nominate Hillary Clinton.
5. Hillary Clinton has strong support from Democratic voters, nationwide. Those will be the voters going to the primary polling places.
6. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth will ensue from a small minority of the Democratic Party.
So, that's my prediction. Others may have other predictions.
Your predictions are DUmb. Just like everything else that comes out of your mouth.

My opinion is the same, the DNC is terrified of Hill as the nominee and will do everything they can (successfully) to keep her from the nomination as they did in 2007-2008.

Yep Carl. The dems have something called super-something-or-nother-delegates (SSOND) in their party. Back in 2007 all the SSOND voted to nominate obumbles putting him over the top. The only thing that remains is to see who in the dem party steps up to challenge old Dragon Panties. I hoping for Sheila Jackson Lee myself. Now that there would be a hoot! :cheersmate:

O.M.G. She could have Willy "Freezer" Jefferson, as her running mate. :yahoo:

Go, go, Slow Joe!
Who else do they have who isn't a Clintonista?
The First Wookie?

Martin O'Malley from Maryland was rumored to be interested, as is (King) Andrew Cuomo. Also, don't discount the possibility of a Latino candidate, such as the former mayor of San Antonio TX who left to become the Secretary of HUD (Julian Castro) over the summer.

Correct. But only in the minds of the resident Fu%$ing Retards that populate DU is this even a possibility. Great comedy!

Obama's people are trying to pave a way for tear apart Hillary, in order to clear the way for an Elizabeth Warren type to run & carry on his pathetic legacy.

I'd love to see Hillary be their nominee. She might be polling high right now but that's only because her name is well known and we don't have a specific candidate. When we do have one (especially if he or she is a conservative because I think even the squishy middle wants that) those votes distributed among several candidates will consolidate around that person. Besides, Hillary has so much baggage, she's a dream candidate. If we have a conservative candidate they won't be intimidated by the left saying this or that "shouldn't be politicized". Polls might even show she's ahead right up until the election. Push polls existed when Reagan was running and alway showed him behind, often by 25 points or so. The left tries hard to tap into the herd mentality. I don't think it will work this time because the dems have so ****ed up this country and weakened our influence around the world to a degree that the majority of Americans don't want them anywhere near the WH.

I've posted this sentiment in numerous places, including on threads here. She doesn't want to campaign, wants to be coronated. And I've predicted that she won't end up eventually running.

I saw something last week that mentions that "Republicans are 'Ready For Hillary.'" It went into the oppo research that's available now.
