I feel for you bud. That’s the same sermon Ive been preaching for some decades. I pray someone will be able to find a way back for the country but have no confidence in it ever happening. As has been observed over time, any government has its past due date and I believe the US is there.

I think, at the end of the day, Joe McCarthy was right about communist infiltration. His approach to the problem was all wrong, but the basic idea appears to have been valid. We have been infiltrated by communists hiding under the veil of socialism or progressivism. First, they took over our schools and when they had brainwashed a few generations those kids grew up to run the media which brainwashed more people. Finally, these disciples of Marxism made their way into government and the press, or into big tech.  It has been a long road getting here with conservative writers warning us all the way. Now tyranny is upon us and it remains to be seen what we will do about it.

I agree, but I also believe that the progressive infiltration happened much earlier -- largely during the so-called "Progressive Era" of the early 20th century. Fundamental to that ideology was the ratification of the 17th Amendment. As far as I'm concerned, that was the beginning of this cancer that has metastasized to almost everywhere.
