Quote
ROCHESTER, Mich. (WJBK) - Lieutenant Colonel Sherwood Baker says he is just a father who was trying to help his daughter find her way at her new high school.

Sherwood, who has served in the Army for 24 years, was told by Rochester Adams High School security that if he wanted to get into the school with his daughter he was going to have to go home and change his clothes.

Baker's wife Rachel Ferhadson says, "Before he was allowed in, the security guard stopped him and said sorry you're not allowed in the school. Security told him men and women in uniform weren't allowed because it may offend another student."

If a military uniform offends people, than they need to leave America.  :bird:

I was wondering who would be offended outside of Bezerkley, CA; then I checked the map.  Sure enough, it's 30 miles from Dearbornistan, also known as Dearborne Michigan.

Dearborne is home to the largest Muslim population in the US. Let me guess, it was the sharia police outside the school. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Rochester, where the offense occurred, is not the same thing or place as Dearborn. Rochester is largely an upscale neighborhood located in the northern tri-county region of Detroit. Dearborn is located just west of the city of Detroit.

No, this isn't muzzie-related nearly as much as it's related to a DUmbass security guard who probably wouldn't be able to find his ass with either hand.

Fair enough. I figured they probably had some Muslim population a there and didn't want to 'offend' anyone. Seemed a likely cause to me but I may have assumed. And we all know what that leads to!   :-)

Nothing new here, hubby came home to tell me his buddy had talked him into checking out the Moose Lodge in  Napa California .  I went down and found a very nice place, lot's going on for the kids, and after work a couple times a week I got away from our 4 kids to join him in dinner and a drink.

He joined the Lodge and as we moved about he country the Lodge became invaluable when we  were lost or needed a safe place to spend the night.

We finally got a home  in Portsmouth VA.  After a month of moving in, getting the kids in school, he found a Lodge not 2 miles down the road that was fantastic, Olympic pool for the kids with life guards, banquet  rooms, very lavish and a one of its kind.  Over and above the Officer Club or Chiefs Club on base.

He called me one day to tell me to met him for dinner at the Lodge after work for dinner.     I got dressed and drove down to meet him  to find he was standing outside the Lodge  in a Service packed town .  He told me the the Lodge did not allow men or woman in uniform be they any rank in uniform be they members or not into the Lodge.  WTF-----

There must be an interesting back story about all this but  at this point it was  pointed out to me that the Moose were a white only Lodge, explained why a few woman came to my home to check me out a few years ago in Cal. -----

Hubby had gone  into the Lodge believing it was service connected and as deaf, blind and dumb received a lesson in life,  one he to the end his days  refused to believe.
