Fears of a land grab have erupted across fire-ravaged areas of Los Angeles County, as local and state officials have already begun discussing plans for "LA 2.0." One user on X commented, "Tell me this was a planned demolition without telling me this was a planned demolition."

Certainly possible. After all, those parts of Commiefornia that aren't a dystopian wasteland akin to a Mad Max set are a friggin' Leftist prison complex already. Might as well build gigantic Soviet-style apartment projects and look the part, right?

I can’t imagine the mess this is going to be for homeowners to try to reconstruct their homes. I think they will face a monstrous challenge of government regulation, greedy real estate and developers, lack of workers and materials to be able to rebuild.
