Star Member no_hypocrisy (42,106 posts)https://www.democraticunderground.com/100217738237With TFG's outburst this morning on social media, could he be indicted for tampering with jurors?Or right now, the Grand Jury and a jury pool after the indictment? His capitalized "message" has the potential to influence a juror who's pro-TFG to give him a mistrial or acquittal or another juror to vote not to indict and/or convict b/c of the fear of another insurrection. The latter is an undisguised threat IMO.https://casetext.com/statute/consolidated-laws-of-new-york/chapter-penal/part-3-specific-offenses/title-l-offenses-against-public-administration/article-215-other-offenses-relating-to-judicial-and-other-proceedings/section-21525-tampering-with-a-juror-in-the-first-degreeSection 215.25 - Tampering with a juror in the first degreeA person is guilty of tampering with a juror in the first degree when, with intent to influence the outcome of an action or proceeding, he communicates with a juror in such action or proceeding, except as authorized by law.Tampering with a juror in the first degree is a class A misdemeanor.N.Y. If the grand jury foreman in Georgia is any indication, then no, no tampering. There are potential jurors who are completely politically uninformed, clueless as to media opinion, unconnected to social media.Like the "salt of the earth" speech in Blazing Saddles.
