Which Moonbat Books Should I get for free?
« on: February 14, 2023, 01:30:49 PM »
Somewhere in the search for lesson plan material, I signed up for the Zinn Education Project, which purports to be "teaching people's history".  Their latest email is offering a free "banned" book to teachers in Texas, Florida and other evil conservative states who are "seeking to indoctrinate students with a whitewashed narrative of history".  I figure, what the heck, see if I can get a free book to add to my list of books I haven't gotten read yet and get some of the BS straight from the horse's....mouth.  Taking a poll to see which one to request.  They also include Lies My Teacher Told Me: young reader's edition, which I have the grown ups version of already, so I didn't include that one.
Romans 6:17-18 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.

So long as you go into them KNOWING they're propaganda for leftist scum, any one of them should give you a good feel for the mindset of your enemies on the given subject material.

I guess it would depend on which you have the stomach to sit through...

Im going with the Jim Crow Book. It has some of the Lefists favorite words. "Jim Crow", and "Colorblindness". The way I see it. If anyone is an expert on Racism, its the Dems.. they live it and breathe it.  :-)

Absolutely aware that all of these are propaganda.  When possible, I like to get the words straight from the horse's (donkey's?) mouth.  And if I can do it without spending my money, or putting money in the propagandists pockets (used book stores, free offers like this) all the better.

Flipping a coin, going with "The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the age of Colorblindness"  Interested to see if they bother making the correlation between incarceration and lack of father figures in the home and culture.  We will also see if I get the book. There are a couple of survey questions about "anti-history education laws" and their impact which I imagine the organization won't like my answers to.  :-)

Quote
Impact of the anti-history education laws.
q. Are the laws impacting your school or school district at this time? If so, how?

a. No, because there aren't anti-history laws being passed in Texas.

q. What support do teachers in your district need?
If you have suggestions or requests for support to address the anti-history education laws, let us know.

a. Organizations to stop spreading propaganda about various laws that are being written

I'd echo Eupher here and go with CRT. Opposition research is always a valuable insight into the leftist warped minds, which is why I actually have read Howard Zinn's garbage revisionist history.
