I'm no labor expert, but I'd posit that the 1,000 employees threatening to strike are the blue collar guys who actually operate the presses and get the hard copy newspaper out the door.
In no way does that threatened strike affect the suits. They'll shift their eggs from hard copy to online, tighten their belts for a day, then it's business as usual.
IOW, a big f'n nothingburger -- even if people actually buy that rag any more.
