Biden administration weighs nationwide ban on gas stoves: report
https://nypost.com/2023/01/09/biden-administration-reportedly-weighing-national-ban-on-gas-stoves/
Millions of Americans may soon be entering “not stove season.“
The Biden administration is considering a nationwide ban on gas stoves — citing the harmful pollutants released by the appliances, according to a report.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission is mulling the action after recent studies showed emissions from the devices can cause health and respiratory problems, Bloomberg reported Monday.
“This is a hidden hazard,” CPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr., told the outlet. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
Banning gas stoves?????????? More proof government is getting bigger.

Come and take it, cock suckers...

This administration writes their own parody material. Most of Europe has been de-balled. Canada is long gone. Australia too. If they can just get us in line the UN can get on with the business of "global equity".

Good point.
The NYSRPA vs. Bruenn decision pretty clearly lined out almost all gun bans as direct violations of the Constitution, yet how many leftist-run shitholes are there presently running their gun bans through the federal court system since Bruenn, in the hopes that THEIR specious arguments will be the one that get thru the Supreme Court's Constitutional defenses?

First lady roasted online for cooking on gas stove the Biden admin is looking to ban
An old photo of first lady Jill Biden cooking with a gas stove has gone viral this week as the Biden administration is weighing the ban of such appliances, according to a report.
"Hey [Antoni Porowski], what are you cooking tonight?" Biden wrote on Twitter in September 2020, including the photo of herself using a gas stove top to cook and directing the question toward Canadian chef and TV personality Antoni Porowski.
The photo resurfaced just days after Bloomberg first reported that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is considering a ban on gas stoves because of concerns about indoor air pollutants from the appliances.

Gov. Hochul quietly sneaks in proposal to ban sale of gas stoves, fuels outrage across New York
https://nypost.com/2023/01/11/hochuls-plan-to-ban-sale-of-gas-stoves-fuels-outrage/
Here’s something that will leave a bad taste in peoples’ mouths.
Gov. Hochul quietly snuck a proposal to outlaw new gas stoves into the “New York Housing Compact” she unveiled during her State of the State speech Tuesday — urging people to ditch their kitchens’ gas grills and go electric.
The ban would affect old-timers and millennials who are obsessed with cast-iron pans that are tricky to use on electric stoves.
“This is plain stupid,” said a 70-year-old resident of Sea Gate, Brooklyn, who gave his name as Victor K. “We lost electricity before, during Hurricane Sandy The only thing we had to heat up our food was gas. What if that happens again?”
Governor Hochul wants to ban gas stoves and go with electric stoves in New York. What could go wrong with that with the power grid. :mental:

Democrat-led cities are already moving forward with gas stove bans that will affect millions
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/democrat-led-cities-already-moving-forward-gas-stove-bans-affect-millions
Democratic leaders in major cities nationwide have already moved forward with bans on natural gas stoves even as the Biden administration has pumped the brakes on similar regulations at the federal level.
Cities including Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City — which are collectively home to more than 10 million Americans — have enacted varying restrictions on natural gas hookups impacting gas-powered furnaces, ovens and stoves.
Leaders of the Democrat-led cities have argued that transitioning away from natural gas would help achieve climate and net-zero ambitions.
"New York City is proof that it’s possible to end the era of fossil fuels, invest in a sustainable future, protect public health and create good-paying jobs in the process," former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said in December 2021. "If the largest city in America can take this critical step to ban gas use, any city can do the same."
The usual suspects banning gas stoves. Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and New York City. It is going to be a strain on the already stressed power grid.

San Francisco area push to ban gas appliances amid blackouts is ‘pure extremist politics,’ CEO says
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/san-francisco-area-push-ban-gas-appliances-amid-blackouts-pure-extremist-politics-ceo-says
Homeowners and builders are calling a possible ban on certain gas-powered appliances in the San Francisco Bay Area an extreme move, forcing a region prone to blackouts to rely even further on an over-burdened electrical supply.
"This is just pure extremist politics being taken to the ultimate extremes," said National Association of Home Builders CEO Jerry Howard. "You talk to anybody in California, their electrical grid can't take the current strain in the summer, obviously, and you're going to add to it by making every car electric, every furnace, every air conditioner, every refrigerator, every stove electric?"
"Once you start down this path that gas is bad, it gives momentum to all of these extremists who are choosing to ignore the facts and pursue an agenda that is only going to cause more people to be paying too much for their housing or, God forbid, more homelessness in an area that's already ravaged by homelessness," he continued.
San Francisco is lookin g at banning gas stoves. It is an area prone to blackouts as the power grid is stretched thin.

Given the propensity of gas lines to break in the aftermath of earthquakes, I'm not sure having gas stoves in the Shitty of Shan Franshishco [/Sean_Connery] would be much better for the morons that live there.
It'll be a boon to the collective IQs of the surrounding area, but no up-side for the 'Sickos...

Residents can use wood, charcoal or dried camel manure.
I heard on the news that instead of a ban they are working on new “safety regulations “

Of the 3 choices, I would prefer that they use "Dried camel manure!" ...
Which is in extremely short supply here. :lmao:
That way the DEM fools that live in the Democrat-led cities would have to depart our land altogether; which would be a great boon to the country!!! :yahoo:

California Bay Area to Start Banning Gas Furnaces and Water Heaters
https://www.theepochtimes.com/california-bay-area-to-start-banning-gas-furnaces-and-water-heaters_5127802.html?src_src=Goodevening&src_cmp=gv-2023-03-16&est=mKkFhgOYWdJ8ZnER3uKyFrXOnCpzZ0lpVMTqy6ZGBq3l2LLlodWp1fmtPzr9ph8c5Q%3D%3D
Authorities from the Bay Area in San Francisco have decided to ban the use of natural gas-fired water heaters and furnaces, citing pollution and health concerns.
The Bay Area’s Air District Board of Directors made amendments to certain regulations to eliminate nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from residential and commercial natural gas furnaces and water heaters by mandating that new appliances comply with zero-emission standards.
“The rule amendments would apply only to new appliances and do not mandate the immediate change out of existing appliances, nor will they apply to appliances used for cooking, such as gas stoves,” according to a March 15 press release.
According to new amendments, only “zero NOx” water heaters can be sold or installed in the Bay Area beginning in 2027. Two years later in 2029, only zero NOx furnaces will be allowed to be sold or installed in the region. And in 2031, new commercial water heaters in the Bay Area will have to meet zero NOx standards.
The California electric grid is stretched really thin. Quixotic.

New York’s Legislators Planning to Torch Installation of Gas Stoves in New Homes
https://legalinsurrection.com/2023/03/new-yorks-legislators-planning-to-torch-installation-of-gas-stoves-in-new-homes/
Earlier this year, my Legal Insurrection colleague Mary Chastain railed against the federal government moving forward with plans to ban gas stoves.
She wasn’t the only one upset about these Biden administration plans, which are clearly based on pseudoscience. Shortly after the controversy, the propagandists in the media focused on the Republican reaction to the issue.
Republicans tend to be the loudest defenders of natural gas, but gas-powered stoves tend to be most common largely in Democratic-controlled states, my colleagues Elena Shao and Lisa Friedman report. In fact, the state with the highest percentage of households using natural gas for cooking (70 percent) is California, according to a 2020 analysis from the Energy Information Administration.
The New York Times assured everyone that gas stoves were not a target: No One Is Coming for Your Gas Stove Anytime Soon.

Top oil and gas industry voice predicts major backlash from New York gas stove ban
https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/top-oil-and-gas-industry-voice-predicts-major-backlash-new-york-gas-stove
President of the US Oil and Gas Association Tim Stewart says that he expects lawmakers in New York to get major backlash for the recent gas ban initiative recently passed.
"New York has the sixth largest natural gas consumer in 2023--three out of five households in New York state using natural gas," Stewart said on the Wednesday edition of the "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "And it fuels 46% of the state's electricity generation. To make this move--it can be sort of bold, but it's also considered absolutely foolish."
The New York legislature has recently approved a budget package that includes a ban on natural gas hookups and fossil fuel use in new homes as the state works to transition toward renewable energy.
The provision would effectively eliminate the use of common household appliances such as gas stoves in new construction. The ban will take effect in 2026 for buildings under seven stories and in 2029 for those with additional floors, the Washington Post reported. Its implementation will mark the first statewide ban in the nation.
New York has banned gas stoves in new buildings. Electric stoves will put a strain on the power grid.

They apparently won't be happy until the power grid fractures completely. Then they'll go running to Uncle Sam with their hand out demanding money to fix the mess they created to begin with.
No question in my mind that all this bullshit is deliberate, intentional, and designed to destroy America and our way of life.

Biden Admin Alters Course On Gas Stove Rule After Months Of Negotiations
https://www.zerohedge.com/energy/biden-admin-alters-course-gas-stove-rule-after-months-negotiations
Originally From
https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/biden-admin-alters-course-on-gas-stove-rule-after-months-of-negotiations-5576411
The Department of Energy (DOE) released a watered-down finalized gas stove rule Monday after months of talks with industry groups and climate activist groups.
The final rule made several major revisions to the initial rule which was released in February 2023 and was widely reported as a gas stove ban.
The adopted rule allows extra-high input rate (HIR) burners and oversized cast-iron grates. It also increases the energy conservation standard for gas cooktops or gas ranges from 1,204 thousand British Thermal Units (BTUs) per year to 1,770 thousand BTUs per year.
“The updated efficiency levels for gas cooking tops allow gas cooking tops to retain the presence of multiple HIR burners, continuous cast-iron grate,” read the adopted rules. “The adopted efficiency level thereby preserving consumer product choice for gas cooking tops.”
The rules will not affect any current cooking products but only future products on the market.
How about no regulations on gas stoves.
