Oh God! That is really awful if he took his own life.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

This is just sad beyond words. He was still active in the movies and as far as I know was doing well otherwise too.

I can't imagine the circumstances that would bring his successful life to this conclusion.

RIP, David Carradine.  I hope you got what you wanted.

He has a few movies to still come out. I'm thinking autoerotic asphyxiation also.

I don't know.  At 72, autoerotic asphyxiation is usually limited to waking up lying on your stomach with a morning "pulpy".

I hate to say this, but the only thing I've ever seen where someone 'hangs' themself and their genitals are involved is autoerotic asphyxiation. There have been some accidental deaths when a person passes out before their act is complete and they can remove the rope.

Really enjoyed the things he was in. A shame however it pans out.

It certainly sounds like he added the kinky twist, to going out with hookers and blow in Bangkok.

Wowzers, RIP.

Carradine Family Request FBI Investigation

BANGKOK – The family of American actor David Carradine has asked the FBI to help investigate his death after his body was found in a hotel closet in Thailand's capital with a rope tied to his neck, wrist and genitals.

Pornthip Rojanasunand, director of Thailand's Central Institute of Forensic Science, said the circumstances under which Carradine died suggest the 72-year-old actor may have been performing auto-erotic asphyxiation.

On Friday, however, police said the actor may have died from accidental suffocation or heart failure after revealing that he was found with a rope tied around his neck and penis — leading to speculation that Carradine may have engaged in a dangerous form of sex play.
