Shutting down Discussionist

When I started this website, I did so because I believed there is value in having places where people with differing points of view could actually talk to each another.

I still believe that. But unfortunately I stopped believing in the value of this particular community a while ago.

You should expect the site to be shut down fairly soon.

Liberals are a deadly virus. Anytime you let them participate in any process, you automatically greatly increase the probability that the process will fail. David Allen, being a portion of the deadly virus, cannot or will not see that he and those like him are the problem. As one who participated there early on but didn’t return, others here have much better insight. But some truths remain constant. Liberals inevitably screwing things up is one of the top truths.
